  1. Ok. So i managed to get the TOC spanning two pages as its become too long for one page. But is it possible to set that the second page start with the style that I have marked? Right now it looks a bit messy as the second page does not look good as a continue of first page. How can I make this look better? Thanks!
  2. Hi there, My question is simple: How to import my written content into Publisher? I write my content in Paper by Dropbox (similar to Google Docs). So in order to import that content into Publisher, can I: 1) Copy / paste content directly into a New Page? In this case, if the content needs more than 1 page (usually), the pages are multiplied automatically, as in Word? Also, when you copy/paste, the original format is honored, including URL links and images? 2) Exporting original content to PDF - then importing that PDF in Publisher? In this case, the original format, URL links and images are imported as appeared in the PDF? I just want to know what is the preferred way to import our content inside Publisher. Thanks in advance ...
  3. Hy Forum I created a new Document in Publisher. Its a Booklet with 15 Pages. It has mixed content like: Text, Pictures and Tables. I saved it yesterday evening as a PDF Document and as a afpub Document. Now i want to continue with my work, but i notice that all Tables arent Tables anymore (each cell is now just a rectangles with a text). All Text are splitted in x textfields, and all tabs in my textfields are gone... Can anyone help me with this? Do i need to recreate all? Best regards Roberto
  4. Windows 10 Home 1809, Publisher 1.7.0.206. Sometimes when I scroll a document, some of it is 'shifted' slightly to the side of the rest of the document. It's difficult to explain in words so I've attached a GIF which shows the issue. The bit to look for is the top of the page that starts at the top of the Bullseye image. You can see that part of the page is sometimes drawn to the right of the rest of the page. This doesn't only happen with this document; I've seen it happen a few times. Is there something I can do about this?
  5. Hello everyone ! not sure this is the right place to post this but i found it to be the only place global suggestion goes and i take the opportunity to share my recent idea here. Well, i think it is time for Serif to develop a lace similar to Behance on its infrastructure. Designers, Photographs, illustrators and those working in the publishing industry using the Affinity range of products will be interested into this. it will also make it easier for those who have no knowledge or simply have no time of building their portfolio website/page to find a place where they feel at home. i know many will say : but why not just go on Behance or one of those shiny website out there and do the stuff ? My answer is : i just feel how much home alone you will feel when you see all peoples around you processing with the same software and sharing content that makes them be a family and you can't just use their content properly nor even share yours and they find it okay ! Better for now is Serif must develop such a platform, even making different level such as : Free (very simple) , Silver then Gold ! it will be place where people can just come browse and discover what is possible to be made with Affinity thus making the Forum a place for questions and answer. Yes we share content here, Yes it is helpful but all those good artist I've met here can't hide anymore behind a forum that no one can easily enjoy, it is time for Affinitizers to be openly revealed to the world. Serif is not playing a back court game nor a Toy story tales but a real stuffs that deserve visibility everywhere. Hope this will be of interest and not just forgotten. Blessings !
  6. I am an InDesign (user look to switch) working in the Publisher beta for the first time and I'm enjoying getting the hang of the processes. How can i show the content boxes around each individual asset; whether it is a text box, an image, or a shape? I am used to this in my work flow from InDesign and it would be nice if there was a way to turn this visual on. Let me know if you have any info on this! Thanks.
  7. This offer has expired and so this thread is locked Finding the Offer If you Purchase Affinity Designer or Affinity Photo for Desktop (Mac or Windows, not iPad) OR you already own Affinity on Mac or Windows, then you can also download the free content in the launch offer by updating Affinity to 1.6 and click the "Claim Now" button in the Welcome screen. The offer is only open until November 16th, so hurry up First Update the software to 1.6.x. Mac software bought from the Mac App Store (MAS) is updated through the MAS update tab. Windows software can be updated by running the App and pressing Download when prompted about the newer version. Once you have installed the update, run the Affinity software (Designer or Photo) and the splash screen shows briefly, followed by the Welcome screen that looks like this Affinity Photo Welcome Screen Affinity Designer Welcome Screen If you have the Welcome screen turned off (in Preferences) then you can still access the Welcome screen from the Help menu > "Welcome..." option IF YOU CANNOT SEE THE SCROLLING OFFER, you will need to give your software firewall clearance in order to see the pages that looks like these attachments. On Windows you may also need to install Internet Explorer 10 or above. Some customers report they have needed to disable VPN networks . If that does not work and you are using the purchased version (not trial or beta) then please add to this thread and we will try to help. Claiming Your Content Once you have clicked on the "Claim Now" in the software Welcome screen you will be taken to the Affinity Store (a shopping basket on our website) called "Your Order Summary", from which you can claim your content. Simply make an account by using the "NEW TO AFFINITY?" option on the store as you claim your content. (If you happen to have an account the New to affinity option will tell you anyway, so everyone can use that option) The free content will be added to the Downloads Section of your account and can be seen in future in your Affinity Store Order History. IMPORTANT You will ONLY have an Affinity Store account if you have bought the Windows version of Affinity Designer or the Windows version of Affinity Photo or the Affinity Designer Workbook from our site Affinity.Store. If you bought the Mac version from the Mac App Store you need to create an Affinity Store account to claim the free content. Purchases from the Mac App Store (MAS) are ONLY in Apple's database and Affinity Mac owners DO NOT have an automatic Affinity Store account. A forum account is not an Affinity Store account, so if that's all you have you will need to create an account too. A Serif legacy account (used to buy the Plus range) is NOT an affinity store account, the databases are 100%independent. Installing the Content Once you have downloaded the free content each zip file has instructions in an included PDF as to how to install it or use it in the appropriate Affinity application. Each one is different. As well as being inside the Zip files, you can also find these Quick start guides in English and German linked to in this resources post https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/50300-installing-free-16-content/ For the Photo Content there is also a video on the Uplift Epic Skies collection here https://vimeo.com/240834026
  8. I just updated to 1.6 today (Windows) and noticed the free content is still free on the store, however I am not seeing the link on the welcome screen. Is this content still available for users who have already purchased, or has the opportunity passed?
  9. Trying out the Photo application. First thing that's striking is the 2000's style "Open File" to get something to work on! I think most potential customers, like myself, would be coming from Lightroom, and expect a slick and seamless browser <-> develop-module back and forth experience. (No need to go completely overboard like Lightroom with imports, and large databases, however, which actually get in the way when working on newly acquired images.) For example. things like quick comparison of images are facilitated by having the browser right there, at all times. Perhaps I missed something, and there is indeed an integrated browsing module, or such? Regards Patrik

  11. How do you copy objects, both text and image, without losing the original size? I tried to copy and paste content into a new document, but for some reason, it shrinks the original size, which will make my completion time longer. I want to simply copy and paste content, and it keep its attributes from size to format ,in-tact, in the new document.
  12. Someone know if there is a shot way or shortcut to collapse all artboards and groups inside?
  13. Why is it whenever I hit the view new content area ( words View new Content) upper right.⬈↗︎ I always get the message no new content? But There is new content... Why? WHY?
