  1. I make some SVG clip art for openclipart.org. I create it in Affinity Designer and export it to SVG. I always have to make sure it is pure vector art because openclipart.org does not accept SVG files that contain bitmaps. I also have to make sure to convert all text to curves because there is no guarantee anyone who downloads it will have the same fonts I do. After I have exported everything, I open the SVG in my text editor and cut out everything I can to make the file as small as possible. Most of it is just simple shapes, like this Cool Cellface thing: At other times, it is just some text, like this little joke: Affinity Designer is really good at designing clip art, though its SVG exports could be more optimized (luckily I am perfectly capable of optimizing them myself, but it takes extra effort).
  2. Hello, New to the forum and Affinity designer having come from DrawPlus. So far seems a great bit of software but does it have any clip art at all. I sometimes would use parts of clip art or vector drawings, signs, symbols in Drawplus as starting points for designs or to save time and interoperate into my deigns I cannot seem to see anything in AF or is there an option I am missing ?
  3. This is my design for my then Girlfriend's (now ex) fundraising party for her and her friend to raise money £1500 each, to then ride for 4 days from London to Paris. It was good to see the finished article; all printed, cut and handed out The party itself went down well, with fancy dress being the big draw. The cards were designed in monochrome, then printed onto orange stock card, with eight cards per A4 sheet. I used clip art for the bats and had to stretch the font to add a sense of elegance and fill up the white space. Two halloween invites.afdesign
  4. Hi. Can someone point me in the direction of a tutorial on how to separate clip art from the others in the group. ie; I have a page of clip arts flowers and I only want to use one of the flowers?
  5. I want to use the OM symbol in one of my designs. AD doesn't have "clip art" so to say. Where is the best place to get an OM symbol on the web? I feel like every free download site is a scam. Also, once I get the om symbol i need the background to be transparent. Advice?
