  1. Hi all, Is there an average blur feature on the iPad affinity software? I use a lot on compositing, would anyone recommend another way to get the mean color of an image? Thanks in advance! -jd
  2. Hello, This suggestion is related to this one but also kinda different. I noticed the color picker tool, when configured as "Average (*x*)", will only return the average color when the cursor is inside the document/canvas. When outside, it will return the color of the pixel the mouse pointer is above, and not the actual average color of the zone. It would be nice if the tool could return the average color of the zone, no matter its location (inside/outside the document/canvas, inside/outside the program, whatever the monitor # the cursor is in, etc.). For example, when selecting the color picker tool in average mode and pointing to a 2nd monitor / another window / outside Affinity Designer/Photo, it should return the actual color average.
  3. Illustrator have this feature when you have two open vectors you can make them one by joining their nodes.

  5. Hello, is there option or could You add such that it will allow to get picker average color from selection? Greetings, Mike
  6. Hi Working with the sampling tool is great right now, although I think it would be useful if we could sample the average of multiple pixels. What do you think? Best regards Bauke
  7. Ideally would love to have 2 buttons - to lineup nodes vertically and horizontally - up there with the flip and rotate buttons in the top tool bar. In illustrator it's called "averaging" and it's a 2 step operation, which is a bit of a pain if you do it a lot. See screenshots. There is even an option for both, which can be handy when you need to have two nodes on top of each other or want them to be centred. I can't find a way to do this yet in AD with nodes. If there is way to line up 2 or more "nodes" either vertically or horizontally please let me know. I've tried aligning but that seems to align to coordinates in the document - centre, left, right, top and bottom... Cheers for any insight.
  8. I've been focusing on shaing and coloring techniques in Affinity Designer lately. With this Blue Cobalt Shot Glass, I used gaussian blur, layer blending modes (Color Burn and Average) and opacity to acheive the effect that I was looking for. What methods would you use? UPDATE 3/15/2015 Thank you for all of the great input. I'm including the following to this post: The original image I used for inspiration My .afdesign file so you can see the layers Further Explanation (What I was trying to acheive) My goal was to make this illustration as "real" as possible. I've been expirementing with Gaussian blur, gradients, blending modes and opacity to acheive realistic highlights and shading. blue_cobalt_glass_RE.afdesign
