Hi. I've got a 2 shots on the white background, shoot by hand so they are not perfectly aligned. How to align them? There's an old same topic here, but videos no longer exist. Here's what I've tried: File → New Stack... → Add → chosing those two shots I'd like to align → OK. I've ended up with a group of two shots In the program they look like they're aligned. So I've ungrouped them. But when I try to export them like that: Selecting one of those 2 photos. File → Export... → Area: Selection Only → Export. Same with second photo. But the result is that they are not aligned... Like original images, nothing has changed.

I created two vertical guides in my document (a front+back cover). I want to align a text box between the two guides representing the front cover margins. I cannot find a way to center it between these guides. I can center between the document's margins (which would center it on the spine), but not between two vertical guides. Is there a way to do this, other than just doing the math to calculate the midpoint?

I created text boxes at the bottom of my pages to hold page numbers. I want them to be centered on their respective pages. But for a two-page spread, the alignment options only align them with respect to the double page spread. I can transform the layers to give precise x/y coordinates, but that requires me doing the math for right and left pages - it seems like there should be an easier way to center them.

Hi, I just purchased your complete Affinity series and am really happy with it so far. Although I just started working with it yesterday But I already encountered some small problems I can't solve myself. My most important question so far is about the alignment function. As a previous Adobe user I am used to be able to align two objects while one is staying in place. Using Affinity Designer I can't find a way to do that. Whenever I want to align two or more objects they all move and meet up in "the middle". With Adobe I was able to select multiple objects, then release the [Shift]-Key and klick on one of the selected objects. That object would then stay in it's place while all the other selected objects would align with it after clicking one of the [align]-buttons. Is there a way to do the same thing in Affinity Designer? Thank you very much in advance. Cheers, Michael

Using Adobe LightRoom & Adobe Camera RAW I have access to several features for aligning my image, straightening, distortion controls, selective color tweaking, white & black, THE LIST GOES ON. Does Affinity Photo have the same tools for editing RAW images? I simply do not see the breadth of tools as I would have in Adobe LightRoom or Adobe Camera RAW - am I missing them???? I can do RAW editing in Adobe Camera RAW & continue my edits using Affinity Photo however I want to TOTALLY & unequivocally FIRE Adobe - I am sick and tired of the monopoly they have had for far too long in the photo editing arena. Does Affinity Photo for iOS have the same abilities as Adobe LightRoom or Adobe Camera RAW? Are the RAW editing abilities of Affinity Photo the same for iOS & desktop? Thank you, Jeremy Cowell McMahon

My apologies if this is answered elsewhere-- I can't find it and I've looked for half an hour. Running Affinity Photo on Win10. I want to use seven exposures of the blood moon as it moved toward totality and stack them so that each moon exposure shows. Thus it will end up looking like seven different moons in sequence. However, the camera was moved slightly with each exposure, so I need to manually align each exposure in the stack and then do something to make each moon exposure show through the stack. I've tried creating a stack without the images aligned. I'm able to manually move each one after ungrouping them, but can't find any blend mode that lets each moon show through the black sky of the other exposures. Any help is appreciated. Please ask any clarification questions as needed. Thanks!

Hello & HNY! I have been experimenting with the HDR merge and Focus merge modules and I'm experiencing a problem that Affinity Photo does not align the pictures correct. I can't find a way to align the pictures manually. Maybe I've not found the feature or this is currently not possible. Thanks, Rolf

For example, I have this two objects in my document: the logo one and text one, for example. Here's the pic: I want to center logo relatively to text. First, I select logo. Then text. Then align center, and BAM!: The text one has moved too! Well, it's bad for me, now I need to move them both. Is there a way to lock position of object that I want center on? Thank you for any help and sorry for bad English! Feel free to fix me.

Hi, is it possible to align images after an import? I am aware of the File > New Stack and/or File > New HDR Merge options (both of which give an option to auto-align images upon importing), but I am wanting to find a way to select several layers after import and then tell Affinity Photo to align them. I can't seem to find a way to do this and haven't found any insight on the FAQs, tutorials, and forums. Suggestions? Thanks! PS – I do not mean using the Arrange > Top, Middle, Centre, etc. with layers, but actually arranging images due to tripod movement between shots, etc.

How do I give the command to align to a certain object? In Illustrator I press "alt" and select the target object to align to In Corel Draw the last object select is the object that all the others will be aligned (I found easy this way) In Affinity Designer i couldn't find any command that allow me to specify to wich object I want to align the other objects that aren't aligned
