  1. I have been using the Affinity Photo & Affinity Designer betas in preference to the previous retail versions. Now that the latest retail versions have been released, I have deleted the betas but ~/Library/Containers still contains the com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner.beta & com.seriflabs.affinityphoto.beta folders with the usual Application Support, Preferences, etc. stuff. I know some of that like the caches & aliases no longer serve any purpose & can be deleted, but I am wondering if some of the *.propcol & *.dat files might be usable as replacements for the corresponding items in the retail updates. The reason I ask is I am hoping this would (for example) set the retail macros to be the same as in the beta. That would be useful because I added a few macros to the beta that were not added to the previous retail version.
  2. Tried to open Affinity Photo 1.5.2 beta 4 and this message pops up. Then the app crashed. So I downloaded Beta 4 again as there doesn't seem to be a new beta nor a new update on the MAS. Still getting the beta expired. Is there a new beta coming and you have just shut down the last one too soon.
  3. None of the apps currently does it, but Adobe’s apps do, and even OS X’s native screenshots tool (which is what I use in the example). To put it simply, dragging a shape (like an ellipse in Designer or a marquee in Photo) should draw it (just as it does now), but when pressing ␣ (space bar) dragging should switch to moving the shape around (only while the space bar is pressed).
  4. I don't usually rely on betas to do my main work but it seems like the only solution for me to open the file. Is there going to be an update to AP 1.4.x that will allow me to open AD 1.5 files? I am not sure if I want to rely on a beta.
  5. For some reason my Affinity Photo Beta keeps asking for the retail purchase? Have been a tester and purchaser from the inception of both Photo & Designer and currently use both but still like utilizing the beta. Is there a reason the beta will not read my license? Affinity Photo.tiff
  6. I'd like to request the straight-line function of the lasso tool (a selection tool) in affinity photo beta to be reworked a bit. Either as a separate tool, or with the shift button switching between straight and curved, without having to hold it down all the time to maintain the straight selection function? I found it quite impossible to make straight selections with my macpro touchpad while trying to press shift at the same time, and still use the spacebar to pan around the image. Plus that and I am a one-handed user, it's.. sort of an accessibility issue. :o Gimp has a good way of handing straight VS click-n'-drag behaviors with the lasso tool, by adding a vector point indicator (a circle indicating the beginning of the straight line activity and only completing the straight line when a new click occurs) and following the mouse with a line each time the cursor is lifted (mouse moved without click input). Thank you for sharing Affinity Photo as a live beta tool. We're very happy with our purchase of Affinity Designer!
  7. Entered my name and e-mail at the site earlier today. I was informed an e-mail providing information on how to access the beta version would be forthcoming. I am still waiting. David L. Langenberg (gallienus)
