  1. This happens with both betas (Affinity Designer Beta and Affinity Photo Beta) version 1.3.5.3. To better understand the situation you should open System Preferences → Keyboard → Shortcuts. On the bottom, you’ll find two radio buttons for Full Keyboard Access: Text boxes and lists only All controls When the second one is selected, ⇥ behaves wrongly: when on any control that is not a text box, it stops cycling through controls and toggles hiding/showing the interface.
  2. I do not know if it's a problem or just a different set of keys. if I create a text frame within a file, I type the text and try to press the Tab key, in the standard version, the text is moved forward (good behavior) in the beta version, the text always inside the frame, pressing the Tab key to me the interface disappears and the text does not go forward (the behavior is UI Toggle ON / OFF even in the frame text) so I ask you, is a bug in the beta or I can solve otherwise? thanks for your attention, have a nice day, Simone
