After updating to Affinity Designer 1.5.3, I noticed that the Bevel/Emboss and 3D Effect layer effects seem to have been altered. Both of these effects used to give compelling depth effects, but now seem useless. What happened? The attached file shows a light bulb image with the Bevel/Emboss (Inner Bevel) effect applied. The image on the left is prior to the 1.5.3 update. I've tried to re-create the effect to no avail. The Bevel/Emboss layer effect is just a mess. I haven't had a chance to fully investigate, but preliminarily the 3D Effect seems to be affected by the same bad algorithm. Help! I've got hundreds of designs that rely on these effects that are now ruined!
I would like to see each light source inside the 3D effect to have independent settings control over color. For example: one light can be bright white from the right and the second source can come from below and blue and each have their own blend modes. That would be awesome. Here's what I can do so far, pretty good I think.
Hello I would like to improve a way to make a pseudo effect in 3D a lá FreeHand. The example is if I use the square tool with rounded squares, I would like to get a kind of isometric effect like the image I show. Actually is a little tricky to get done. OK. I see this thread and maybe the distortions tools include the effect I mentioned: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/1957-blend-object-along-curve/?hl=text&p=7960
