  1. Hi, Following MEB's advice I've been creating my own assets for a project, but the suggestion of dragging elements from the canvas/artboard to the Assets panel doesn't seem to work on Windows. When I drag the element to the assets panel it is placed on the document and does not appear over the Assets panel as would be expected from a drag action. "Add from selection" from the category pop-up menu works as expected. Thanks
  2. This is a very tricky bug to recreate. It happens often but not every time when the text box handles are double-clicked. What do I mean about this? Let say you create a text box for a paragraph or verbiage on a document, but the text box is larger than the text you entered, to adjust the text box to match the text length you need to double-click or double-tap the middle bottom handle and this will resize the text box as expected. Similar to Adobe® InDesign™ I'm testing Designer to create documentation for my hosting service, and I'm on my second document, which has more than 40 images, about 10 Artboards (Pages), and lots of text boxes. On the first document, this happened to me once, but cannot compare to the second one. The first one only had about 8 Artboards, about 16 images and a lot of white spaces, which makes me assume that the larger the document the more likely for this bug to happen. Because Affinity Designers is not a Desktop Publishing application, it does not have an option as Adobe InDesign to downsize graphics rendering for low memory consumption. I think this is the only way to recreate this bug. This base on my own assumptions since I'm new to Affinity Designer.
  3. Below is the link to a video using the inpainting tool where the picture canvas size increase and then you take part of the picture and draw on the transparent part and the steps were to Edit>Fill>inpainting>apply which will fill transparent with the part that you included in the selection matching the color overlapping to fill in the transparent area. I have tried numerous times to follow the video and when I follow them the transparent area does not fill in. It would be so nice if I could learn the correct way to do this but every time I try the transparent area does not pick up the selected part of the original picture to extend into the transparent layer. I am working on the original layer and cannot see why this is not working? By the way I increase the canvas size equally all the way around the picture and then tried using the inpainting tool to fill in the transparent part. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyfZHa8E0Xg Don S
  4. In Serif Photoplus 8 in the macro selection they had a border macro that was very easy to run and use. I would like to know how to retrieve it and add it to Affinity in Windows 10. DonS
  5. I have been using just below the ruler or that area and dragging down a horizontal line and can do several and from sides dragging across vertical lines. All of a sudden they are not working. I have search and cannot find out how to get them working again.
  6. Hi. I have only just recently bought Affinity Designer for Windows 10 (about 2 days ago) and every now and then it just stops working and closes. Sometimes a window error will pop up saying "Affinity Designer has stopped working" but other times it just closes. It seems to be random. At the moment I am just using the pen tool to create some vectors and it still closes. I have barely changed any of the default settings. Is there anything to stop this from happening? Thanks!
  7. I would like the steps for changing the toggle key of black to white and then go back to white to black. You might have red and blue showing. I don't know if a shortcut key can do this or if a macro can be written to do it. If I want to change to white to reveal or black to not reveal I could just hit say Shft D or some key to switch them back to the original black & white. I tried it in shortcut key but it only works one way or could not figure out how to make it work both ways. DonS
