Getting pronounced banding when using Affinity Photo 1.8.1 (trial) to view a gray scale 10 bit test ramp image. Same image displays smooth gradation, no banding, when viewed with OS X El Capitan's Preview app, which supports 10 bit depth. Using OS X 10.11.6 on Mac Pro (Late 2013) with AMD FirePro D300 cards and a Dell UP2718Q monitor. Wondering if Affinity Photo lacks 10 bit support for this platform or if it's just a configuration problem that prevents a smooth display of the image. 10_bit_test_ramp.psd
Hi, Feel Free to merge this if anyone else has asked, but is proper 10 bit display output to get non-banded gradients currently possible with the colourspace options, or is it on the roadmap? I know Affinity Photo (Mac) doesn't seem to support it yet (hoping it arrives there soon).
Hello, having 10 bit per color available would be a great feature. I'm on win-64 using a NVidia Quadro 2000 display adaptor that supports it. And my monitors too. Thank you. PS: found almost nothing in the forum about this. EDIT: moved this to "feature request". Was not related to ipad. Sorry.
Hi There, I am planning to switch Affinity Photo but I am also looking to upgrade my monitor to a 10 bit monitor. Namely the ASUS PA329Q. I am on a mac, macbook pro to be precise with specs 2.3GHz dual-core 7th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, 16GB 2133MHz LPDDR3 memory Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 Two Thunderbolt 3 ports OS : High Sierra So my question is would I be able to set up a 10 bit workflow with this setup using Affinity ? Any information regarding the 10 bit workflow would be great on this operating system btw ... Thank you,
