  1. Same behaviour you'll find in AD itself, so I guess it is the same in all applications. A) Draw a line, click Properties from the Stroke Panel, then click Duplicate. compare this to B) Draw a line, then click the stroke from the Context Toolbar, then click Properties, then click Duplicate. If you have a look at the Brushes panel for A) the brush instantly appears on the panel, whereas for B) you have to click Duplicate twice, because the popout window for the stroke still seems to have focus.
  2. Are there any invisible insets in a text frame? Or is there a limit how long a text line has to be? If you look at the attached image the text frame of both frames should have the same insets. When I now remove 2 of the green characters the insets are equal. FOUND IT, but I think there is room for improvement? It seems to be, that the rounded corners are taken into account for the calculation of the insets. But why the text is moved up is still a miracle for me. textframe-insets.afpub
  3. I discovered something by accident, that gives me the feeling that a Brushes panel could be handy for APu. If you open an IDML containing a double stroke, this double stroke is preserved in APu, but you cannot save it for later re-use at once. You have to use the Designer Persona to duplicate (save) it into the Brushes panel. If you want to use the double stroke later, you'll have to visit the Designer Persona again. So wouldn't it be nice to have a Brushes panel in APu too to reach a brush faster? And if APu is able to interpret the double-stroke from an IDML, wouldn't it be nice if the double-stroke would appear in the Appearance panel of the Designer Persona or APu itself would have an Appearance panel? EDIT: It seems to be that the double stroke is no vector, so it won't show in the Appearance panel of course. But anyway, a Brushes panel would be nice.
  4. I never noticed this preference before in "User Interface". I know what it is doing (now), but still I do not see the benefit. Having two filters open I would only do accidently. I would be fine with the warning, that there is already a filter modal open, but silently applying the first filter as this is default in preferences? Perhaps there is someone showing me a use case?
  5. 1. Draw a square of 40 x 40 mm. 2. Use the Corner Tool at one edge and drag it to a maximum value. In this case is about (not exact) 40 mm. 3. Revert this action. 4. Now type in 100 mm for the radius (+ Enter). Result: The radius stays at 100 mm and does not reset to 39,99992 mm. IMO nonsense values should reset to maximum values.
