  1. This morning I downloaded the latest version of Affinity Publisher for the Mac. It was an upgrade to the version already installed which was very stable. Now I am experiencing crashes every time I try to apply master pages or make adjustments to document setup. The software just crashes without warning. Mac OS Catalina 10.15.5 Apple Mac Mini Early 2012 16 GB of RAM
  2. Hello, I wanted to reiterate an issue with the node tool in the vector persona that I've noticed in Affinity Designer in versions 1.8.4 - 1.9.0 on a Windows 10 PC. This issue was reported before for v1.8.4 in this forum post: Node Tool - double click issues - Pre 1.9 Designer Bugs found on Windows - Affinity | Forum (serif.com), but I just wanted to make a note to say that it still exists in later versions as well. The issue occurs in every document when trying to use the node tool to select nodes. A node can be selected as normal, but when you try to drag or adjust the node, the click doesn't register, thus deselecting the node. Every so often, dragging does actually work, but this seems to be random. The issue gets worse the closer you zoom in, and sometimes makes the entire program lag a bit as well. This should be reproduceable on every version after 1.8.3 in both new and old documents. There isn't really anything that can be captured in a screenshot for this bug. Before this bug appeared you could simply select a node and move/adjust it all in one movement. I have tested every version of Designer, but I have to keep reinstalling version 1.8.3 because it is the most recent release that does not have this bug. This causes a different problem because I can't open documents from coworkers who are using the newer versions. Thanks for reading, - Mitch System Information: Bug occurs on Affinity Designer 1.8.4, 1.8.5, and 1.9.0 Most recent version without bug: Affinity Designer version 1.8.3.641 Windows 10 Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 1700x GPU: AMD Radeon Vega FE 16GB RAM
  3. I'm working on a catalog that make use of tab stops a lot. I have created a paragraph style with all the tab stops needed. Great. But now i have a paragraph that need to have a new tap stop at the beginning of the line. To my surprise, Publisher don't let me add a tab stop lower than the higher already existing. if i enter the measure manually, it jumps to the automatically added value. If I decrease the measure clicking the arrows or with the mouse wheel, only goes down to the value of the higher tab. How can I add a smaller tab to a paragraph then? This means that i need to recreate all tabs in crescent order from scratch or modify all tabs values already existing. Does not make sense. Steps to reproduce: Create a paragraph Create some tab stops in the tabs panel, let's say: 10mm, 25mm, 50mm and 78mm Now try to create a tab stop at 13 mm. Impossible. Only let you create tabs 78mm or bigger.
  4. Hello, I work on files that are 20 to 35 MB. Lots of pages (300 to 600), lots of master pages (10 to 20) and lots of hyperlinks in pages and masters. I make calendars, so the pages have tables and text, no photos. And every-time I want to edit text, I get the spinning wheel for 30+ seconds... it is driving me crazy. This happens in all my calendar files, not just one. I have Publisher 1.8.4 My specs are: 2018 MacMini macOS 10.15.6 Processor: 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i3 Memory: 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB 128GB SSD storage I'm attaching photos to show the kind of pages I have. For affinity staff: if you give me a link I can share my editable if you think there could be something to see in the file itself. For everyone: Let's assume I get a new computer, what specs exactly should I look for??? Thank youuu! IMG_3563.MOV
  5. OS: Windows 10 ver. 2004, build 19041.338 Affected product: Affinity Designer 1.8.4.693 (non Microsoft store version) Hardware: Microsoft Surface Book 1st Gen (i5 6300u, 8gb ram, 256gb ssd) Microsoft Surface Pen (battery level 61%) Issue: When dragging nodes/lines or when resizing objects in Designer while using pen input the line/object/indicator will glitch and flash rapidly. More info: This issue first appeared for me after upgrading to version 1.8.4.693, it was not present in the earlier version i was using but that version was out of date and i do not know the version number. I believe the build i was using was installed around March this year. This issue does not seem to be present in Affinity Photo, i did not test in Publisher. The issue is only with pen input, both mouse and touch inputs seem unaffected at this time. General drawing and other activities are unaffected by the glitching. This happens on both new and current projects. The issue is present in all performance modes for the laptop, from power save to full performance mode while plugged in. This issue still occurs when a different Surface pen is used. As a troubleshooting step, all user settings were reset to default by holding CTRL on startup, issue still present. Here is a video of the issue, i apologize for the quality and terrible audio. Please mute or turn down before viewing.
  6. Upgraded to Publisher 1.8.4 via US Apple App Store on Aug 3. Running MacOS 10.15.6 on 2018 iMac with 32 GB RAM. Open 2 page document and move page 2 to before page 1 causes crash. Mac crash report attached. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled on Aug 4 with no change. I have turned off all graphics accelerators, no change. I have disconnected Wacom tablet and used Apple Trackpad, no change. Open 110 page, 195 MB document created with v 1.8.3 over the past 3 or 4 weeks. I can scroll thru the pages but I cannot edit or even select text. Many styles are missing and I cannot select or edit styles. I can click on the arrow to expand hierarchical styles and the arrow changes from right pointing to down pointing or vice-versa but no sub-styles list does not change. The pages studio panel shows all blank pages. File close causes the app to hang forever with spinning rainbow wheel. Because I bought the app via the Apple app store I cannot go back to 1.8.3. Can I download the older version from the Serif site and install it without paying for it again? AP 2-pg doc crash.txt
