1. Create a text frame with some text. 2. Create e.g. a rectangle, move it over the text frame. 3. Give the rectangle a text wrap option. 4. Move the rectangle layer in the Layer panel under the text or Master Page. Result: APu freezes. There is no problem in the retail version. File with example is attached. filler.afpub -
1. Create a rectangle. 2. Create artistic text. 3. Create a add or subtract compound of both elements. 4. Copy and paste the artistic text inside the compound. 5. Drag one of the artistic text layers out of the compound. Result: APu is not responding anymore.

Finally things seem to be improving. I installed beta 1.8.2.603 and imported my 100,000 word novel from Word moments ago. Responsiveness (text flow time) when importing and adding/deleting paragraphs to the start of the text was snappy, i.e. I noticed no delays at all. Edit: Initial auto flow took 1 minute, which seems reasonable. Adding and/or deleting pages at the start of this document incurred 3.5 minutes of frozen UI, but the improvement is significant. I'm holding my breath for this trend to continue in the near future. I had decided to use Serif PagePlus X9 for my new novel, but pending reports on general stability I'm now hoping to use Publisher instead.
