  1. I first noticed that tracking always switches back to 0% in the input field when I come back to edit later. So I made a test. As you can see at the bottom everything was set to 5 (I didn't touch Super/subscript). I don't know if the value in the baseline field is a bug too, or I'm missing something, but it's strange.
  2. I have a text frame that needs to change shape, from narrow to wide column. I can change the shape, but have to manually remove line endings. I'm sure this is not intended in a professional product. As a work-around, I copy the text into Notepad, clean up the words that are now not separated by a space and the line endings that are not where they are needed. Presumably, this is a buy you will fix!
  3. This one is driving me mad. Maybe my fault. Perhaps someone can solve the riddle for me formatting two text frames with the same paragraph style? See attached file. Step 1: Format the whole text on page 2 with paragraph style HB - 03 Fliesstext. Step 2: With the overflowing text create a text frame on page 3. This text should also be formatted with HB - 03 Fliesstext. Step 3: Now make the text frame on page 2 smaller in height and see what happens on page 3. Even if you do not have the font Milo OT, you can use any other font, should make no difference. Good luck and TIA. what-a-mess.afpub
  4. I created two lines with arrow heads, merged the curves and clicked "Place arrow at the end of the line". The lower arrow head suddenly disappeared. See video. arrowhead.mp4
  5. Hi I'm wondering if it's possible to change the color of the currently active page/spread color to something more easily noticeable? To clarify, I'm talking about the grey outline that's around the pages that are currently active (pages 30, 31 in my screenshot). I've scrolled through the page navigation many times trying to find which page was active, but missing it because the grey is very subtle. When I squint it all looks indistinguishable grey. I tried changing the UI colors in preferences but it didn't make much difference. The Light UI doesn't have this issue since there is enough contrast. I like the blue color when selecting pages, maybe something similar could be used for highlighting active pages too? Thank you!
  6. The 0-value bug for width and height of elements is still there in the latest beta. Create e.g. a rectangle, manually (handles) change the width (or height) to 0 and deselect the element. After that you can't change width (or height) anymore. If you want to change the width (or height) of the e.g. rectangle with the Transform panel to 0, the input will not be accepted.
  7. I am not sure, but I believe, that fit-to-text-frame worked in previous versions. Double clicking the lower centre resize handle should fit the frame to text, but this will now give me the red overflow indicator. I tried this various fonts (Milo OT, Adobe Caslon Pro, Arial) with the same result. See attached image. There is always 0,1 - 0,2 mm missing in height.
  8. Hello When opening a file and it is missing a resource the "dialog-field pop up" with the question "Would you like to locate them?" is wrongly linked. For me the answers do the opposite. - No (results in explorer being opened) - Yes (does nothing and lets you proceed) - Resource Manager (behaves as expected)
  9. Noticed this after installing and working on my 106 pages document that Publisher is getting slower, often I get the Not Responding message, all elements on the pages get blurred, popped out menus won't close etc.pp.
  10. Looks like there's a bug in the Frame Text Tool. If text goes beyond the line, it will not be continued in the next line, but instead in the gutter.
  11. I just installed .312, and noticed this oddity. I'm not sure if it was present in earlier versions of Publisher. I created a new document, and put a Picture Frame on the default Master Page. In the Pages panel some of the boundary lines are missing or have a different density, and sometimes different ones are missing between the Master and the document page. (With 1 document page they were different; with 3 document pages the Master and document pages all had the same appearance in the Pages Panel (same line missing).)
  12. The release notes for Publisher 1.7.0.312 indicate: (Win) Improved locate procedure for missing linked images I presume that's referring to this improved dialog when opening a file that contains missing Linked files: Issues: The Yes button does nothing. The No button opens the File Explorer (as the Yes button did in the past). Clicking on the Windows Close button (x) opens the Resource Manager. Thanks for adding the Resource Manager. That's the function we really needed, and it's what I suggested a long time ago, so I'm pleased to see it. Suggestion: Opening the File Explorer is really not useful, and that part of the function should be removed. The choices should be "No" and "Resource Manager". Or possibly "No" and "Yes", but with Yes opening the Resource Manager instead of the File Explorer. Note: This report is similar to one over in Publisher bugs on Mac, here.
