I've highlighted 4 default shortcuts below, for Text Size Bigger (or Precise Bigger) and Smaller (or Precise Smaller). Note that they show as combinations of ctrl and alt and the > or < keys: Those work. However, if I try to recreate those shortcuts, they end up as: Ctrl+Shift+. Ctrl+Alt+Shift+. Ctrl+Alt+Shift+, Ctrl+Shift+, Of course, on a standard US keyboard the > is a shifted . and the < is a shifted , and I suppose they might be laid out differently on some other keyboard. And this isn't just an issue for Publisher, as it also affects Designer and Photo. But the inconsistency between the initial presentation and what the user can actually set is at best annoying, and at worst a (small) bug, so I figured I'd post here. Feel free to move somewhere else if it's really a feature request or a "By Design"

Due to a corrupted file, I've reverted to a previous version (last worked on using v1.7.0.140) and observed something I don't recall seeing before. There's a red striped "decoration" down the left edge of many of the layers (text frames, shapes, curves) in the Layers panel. Where this exists on a group, it is present on each sub-layer when the group is expanded. This is a Master page which is, initially not applied to any document pages. After applying the master to a document page, the red stripes change to a solid red line which is now present on every layer. Looking back to previous versions of this same file, those lines are present there too. It's the sort of thing I'd like to think I'd notice and I don't recall spotting them before. Makes me think this has arrived with 1.7.0.145… I can't find any reference in either the Layers section of the manual or the Layer Panel page in the Help. I also did a quick search across the forum and drew a blank. Can anyone explain what these stripes signify?

Publisher 1.7.0.145 Launch Publisher Create a new document from the default settings Baseline Grid Manager > enable Use Baseline Grid Snapping Manager > enable Snap to baseline grid Save your blank document Quit Publisher Reopen Publisher by double-clicking the test document saved a moment ago The Snap to baseline grid option has been turned back off, although the other settings remain as they were previously. It doesn't seem to matter if you use View > Snapping Manager, or the Snapping controller in the toolbar across the top of the workspace.

Time to buy some more harddisks? I made an A3-document with two pages containing 11 linked jpg images in total. File size 11 images = 82778 KB File size publisher document = 98285 KB Another experiment: Changed the resolution of 1 image from 72 to 300 dpi. Updated the image in publisher and saved. File size publisher document = 110483 KB Another experiment: Saved the document anew. File size publisher document = 101890 KB This is quite big. Maybe a wrong setting or a bug? Whenever I want to place an image with orientation portrait it will be placed with orientation landscape.

While experimenting, I created a new document, then looked at the Text Frame panel, which showed, as I expected, no stroke by default: I then created a Table and assigned a rose-colored gradient to the stroke of the table frame via the Table Panel: I then looked at the Text Frame panel again, and found that my stroke assignment for the table carried over to the settings for Text Frames: As those are two different tools, I don't think that should have happened.

I just noticed that the Styles Panel doesn't display the names of the styles when they're in the grid layout: In Photo and Designer they do show: They are shown in list mode in all 3 applications:
