  1. I have a .psd created in photoshop elements. It opens ok in Affinity photo. I am having trouble getting the exported pdf to show text as a vector (with zero pixelation when zoomed in). Can you please tell me what settings I should use during export to make sure text has zero pixelation when zoomed in? When I export the same .psd using photoshop elements, the resulting .pdf renders the text as a vector so I know its not a problem with my design setup. Also my print company recommends pdf/x-4 as the output profile but that preset in affinity photo produces a text with pixelated edges. The only change I made to the psd file in affinity photo was a conversion to cmyk color profile. I would like to start using affinity photo by default but need to be able to confidently render psd files to pdf with the text output as vector with no pixelation. Also I notice when I change the setting to "no rasterization" when outputting to pdf from .psd, it ignores any clipping masks applied so the image is not as intended. Can you please advise settings to try in this situation. Thanks so much.
  2. I can't seem to import a vector image from photoshop to Affinity Designer without it turning into a pixel image... I'm drawing .svg and .psd files and I need to "convert to curves" so that I can create a logo with image pattern inside like so (see link below) ... how do I do this?? yout ube.com/watch?v=3rIk Gcfp_ko
  3. Hi, I didn't know where else to post this other then bugs. I have a .psd file I'd like to open in affinity photo but I simply get the Error: the file could not be parsed. I saw on another thread and they said to email you guys the file, I wanted to know if I should do so and how long should I wait for a response?
  4. I'm in the process of trying out Affinity Designer to see if it will serve my purposes. The majority of use will be to take .AI files I have, modify them and convert them to .PSD files. Unfortunately, exported files exhibit fragmentation or incomplete data. In the attached image, the black mouth is not solid and the upper frame edge of the goggles is incomplete. Is there something I need to know about exporting to .PSD format that isn't readily apparent? As is, this product will be useless to me. I was hoping for a true Illustrator alternative.
  5. I've had to re-work some vector illustrations and the file format was .ai - as expected AffinityDesigner loaded it perfectly and I made the changes quickly. I now however need to deliver the updated source file. I realise I can't export to .ai - so what's the best alternative? I know I can export to PSD, PDF, SVG and EPS but I'm not really sure which one to use. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance. p.s - Absolutely LOVE AffinityDesigner. Still using the trial version but will be purchasing soon. I hope this community is as useful as the app itself.
  6. Hi, new to AP so I'm sure this is user error but I'm stuck! I've created a layered image from a JPEG import and want to export as a .psd file. However on the export persona there is no option to do so, only png, pdf, gif etc. what am I missing please? Andy.
  7. Hi there, I use Affinity designer with .Ai and .PSD files usually - but I have one file that it says "unable to parse file". The file doesn't seem to be corrupt and I have downloaded it a couple of times. Anyone else had this problem? Thanks!
