  1. any hint how we can save or backup all .afdesign files at once? it’s veeery time consuming to save every single file…. alternativ: WHERE on iPad are our works saved/stored? as when i close a document it will be stored automatically! thx for every hint 🙏
  2. This is not much, it’s a simple .afdesign file that turns photos into pre-digital vintage-like printing halftones (the industry standard here is affinity, not the lame PSD). It is of course compatible with both Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer. Sorry for the big size (over 400mb), it’s because all halftones and maps are ‘heavy’ (I didn’t want to ‘reduce’ them). I made all the files included here over the years, for halftone brushes and styles. The process is simple, and the user has complete control over the final result. I think the file is self-explanatory even for newer users. Instructions inside (and below). Edit, for new users: to have greater control over dark go to “adjustments” / gradient map. It’s one of the most important adjustment, and I should have let it outside. (If they’re too big please let me know and I will upload the files to mediafire) Template is 5000px X 5000px. A quick, soundless and boring video overview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5A8C5vk3Fs The resulting halftone file is pixel-perfect. There are two files available for download below, one with dot halftones and one with line halftones. They’re obviously intended for Affinity users only. Resulted images can be used for any purpose without any worries. Maybe someone will find these useful. All the best! line_halftones.afdesign dot_halftones.afdesign

Well, yes. It did it ca. twice and then it worked again and now it's everytime. Please help me Thanks in advance - Vitus
  4. How do I install .afdesign files, like the Fineliner Broken Lines.afdesign file, for example?
  5. When browsing project files in Finder (macOS) I noticed that the same project as a .psd will preview a high-res thumbnail of the artboard but if the project is saved as .afdesign there is a low-res thumbnail. I was curious if anyone else noticed or has this behavior. If possible, I think it'd be great if Affinity would save higher-res thumbnails of the project file to make browsing in Finder a little more useful. I included screenshots to show the difference.
  6. I have been using Adobe Illustrator exclusively for years in my design process and have recently begun to use Affinity Designer. Unfortunately, this means that most of my design pieces are in the .ai format. Is there a way to bring these over to a .afdesign format while preserving all of me design aspects?
  7. I'm trying to get a file I've been working on in Affinity over to a friend using Illustrator for final (minor) edits. At minimum, he at least needs to be able to open it on Illustrator with no loss of resolution. I have tried exporting it as every file extension available with Affinity and they all lose resolution or effects upon export. Does anyone know how best to tackle this problem? DZONE Jersey.afdesign
  8. Saved .afdesign files only show in 'file open' and Windows Explorer as Icons, not thumbnails. Why?
