  1. Hello, I am new here... I just bought a new iMac last week and finally decided to give Affinity a try as my primary photo editing tool. I just downloaded it and when I tried to open my first image to edit from my external hard drive I get an error saying that 'The file could not be opened because the volume is Read Only'. I never had an issue with opening files from this drive on my old Windows machine via Photoshop. Is there anything I can do to resolve this? I have thousands of images on this drive just waiting to be loved. Thanks in advance for any help that may come my way! Dave
