  1. It's frustrating to have to select a point to show the handles: I don't have any reason to have any handles hidden, and if I press ctrl-a to select every point so that every handle is shown, then if I want to move a point I have to click click-drag when I want to move any point without moving all the other points.
  2. I LOVE this editor, and I still can't believe I picked it up for 25 bucks! It's a very powerful piece of software and I'm overall very satisfied. The one issue I have is, I struggle to organize my photos when using this Application. Viewing photos with just the windows file manager because I shoot in RAW + JPEG, and the Windows photos app does not offer easy access to tools like histograms or exif data. I could just open the file in affinity one by one, but clicking through hundreds of photos and having to exit out of each of them every time would be far too slow. I could also use other programs like Lightroom or some other raw viewer but having it all in one piece of software would greatly increase my workflow, as well as not costing 20 bucks a month. Is it possible to make a raw catalogue persona or something similar? You'd scroll through your photos and clicking on them, you could easily see all of the tools you would in the develop persona, including things like over and underexposed areas. The only difference is, you wouldn't be able to edit the photos until you choose one to take into the actual develop persona. Also, affinity would automatically hide the JPEGs, but attach them to the RAW file equivalent if copying is needed for stacking, panoramas, etc... (of course you could change it to not attach the JPEG, or show JPEGs along with the RAW files, or other options). I don't know if many people would care for this but I really wanted to throw this out there because I think that's the only thing that really holds this astounding application back.
  3. I'n trying my hand at making emotes and I would like to see how the emotes would look rasterized at 28p, 56p and 112p. Currently I have my canvas set to 112p and adjust my emote with pixel view at resolution but I would like to see how it would look in the smaller sizes. Is the anyway to change the resolution of the pixel view so that it will render in a lower resolution? Alternatively would it be better to set my canvas to 28p or 56p and upscale to the larger sizes? I would like some recommendation on my workflow for making emotes
  4. Hi, I've owned Affinity Photo for quite sometime but have only been dabbling, I have studied a lot of tutorials and am fairly conversant with most of the tools and their functions having had some experience with Photoshop and other programs, the thing I'm having trouble grasping is the When and Why to use certain tools/adjustments during the workflow....I know what I'm aiming for but not sure the correct tools or right way to achieve it. I'm mainly referring to such things like compositing photos etc. I realize there would be different reasons for taking one approach to the way of doing things with each type of composite you are trying to create.....but if there was a tutorial that explained all this it would be beneficial. I have also just purchased the Photo Workbook so I'm hoping that this will also help with this info. Thanks Sandy
  5. Well ! i'm back with this other which i believe will help us all. Personally i like the way Serif made it cross-edit between all 3 piece of software but ... because there is always a but ! i Think the way it was and is managed is a bit counter productive or maybe not at its fullness. let me explain ! Here when you have a file opened on APub and want to do some work on it with ADesigner you can Edit with Designer then the whole project is transferred there leaving APub empty of everything but sometime we only want to edit a precise thing such as a smart shape etc... thus making the transfer of the whole project to ADesigner a kind of ... What if Serif could make it possible for us Click on the Object we want to edit and : 1- Right click on it then chose Edit with : Photo or Designer (depending of what we may want to achieve) 2- After selecting the desired object, we can also click the related persona (place where we want to edit) then have that precise thing migrated there for its edit 3- Should be the option we currently have, if we select nothing but click on one of the persona or chose to Edit with ... then whole project get migrated there for its further edit leaving APub Blank. The first 2 options should leave the core project opened in APub then only we should be able to edit the select object then click save to get its edit saved as an update withing the already opened and not closed project withing APub. The we can chose to edit only a part of the project without leaving the main tool we use and see the updates in real-time. Well, more geared peoples can add to this idea and help make this get better. Blessing !
