Hi Guys, I got the announcement for the new Affinity Photo Workbook the other day. I would give you money immediately both workbooks were offered as a ePub ONLY download at a reasonable price. Are there any intentions to offer ePub's?

Hi to all @ Serif, This isn't a complaint to yourselves (who are the bees knees), but I've just received my Affinity Photo Workbook, and it looks like it's been dropped on one corner of the book from a great height. They're such well made books, it's a shame to get a damaged one. I'm not very happy with Amazon/Royal Mail (can't be sure which of the two dropped my lovely new book). First world problems I know... but it's not a cheap book. I'd liked to have received it in mint condition.

I was hoping the workbook would go into a bit more detail. For example page 271 introduces using Frequency Separation and says (for Radius) "a setting of 1.5 px is perfect as it pulls enough skin texture into the high frequency layer (detail) without pulling through too much of the tonal imperfections". Another tutorial (video) suggests a setting of more like 8 px. It would be great if some tutorial video would go into depth on this topic showing examples and explaining why different values might be choosen. I tried "Adjusting Skin Tone" (pages 274 & 275) on one of my own photos and it "didn't work" (certainly it didn't have the effect I expected). This needs a bit more explanation of what they are trying to achieve. I was trying to smooth out some "blotchy" skin and thought this technique might work but it didn't.

I like to use your special offer for both workbooks = Affinity Photos and Designer hoping to save on shipping. And I would only have to be ready for ONE delivery. But the moment I add the Designer book the Photo-version is gone. So ... I cannot get both books in my shopping basket. What's the trick?

Yours is a digital product with a paper workbook. Most of your users must have iPads so why no digital version of your workbook. I live in Japan, have too many books and a space problem. I only buy books I consider timeless and no book on computer software can do this. Please consider a kindle (or similar) option.

Hey all, Firstly I'm loving the Workbook - currently making my way through to familiarise myself with AD. One thing I've noticed and is a little annoying if I want to play with some of the files is that some of the downloadable resources are 'locked'. I can't see any way to unlock the document, or for that matter lock one. Is this intended, or am I simply missing a glaringly obvious 'protect document' option somewhere?

On the French version of the Affinity Store at https://affinity.store/fr/ the dropdown list offers the Affinity Designer Workbook in French (Français) or German (Allemand) but the workbook is currently only available in English or German.

I guess I should have read the help section before ordering through the website. If I wanted the poor care and damaged product that is typical of Amazon when they deliver books, I would have gone through them for the free 2 day shipping instead of waiting a week to see that it came through Amazon anyway. You should probably make that clear on the order page, by the way. I was *incredibly* disappointed to see that there was absolutely no value in ordering directly from you guys. In spite of Amazon's signature crunched corners and binding damage, it looks like it was originally a well made book, and I love well made books. I hope that I'm at least not disappointed in the content.

Hello all! I'm excited to use Affinity Designer. I also would like to buy the Designer Workbook to have some solid guidance along the way but Affinity doesn't ship to the Philippines. I am having a problem with following the instructions on your workbook. Every time I finish a stroke, in Layers, the selection goes to the brush stroke I have just finished, instead of staying on the foreground layer. By doing so, the "insert inside the selection" goes of and, if I start the next stroke inside a previous stroke, it gets nested inside the previous stroke. Very frustrated!

I cannot follow the Resource "core_skills.afdesign" at the top of a topic in the Workbook. Some insight onto using this would be helpful. I do not have the practice files for the Workbook and would like a link to get them.

Hi. I have just purchased Affinity Designer for Windows and would really like also to buy the Affinity Designer Workbook. The trouble here however is that you seem to not ship orders to Norway. How Come? You ship orders to Sweden and they lie just next to us. I sincerely hope this is a temporary problem and that I will be the happy owner of said item in the near future. Please feel free to reply with info on this topic. There might be more norwegians out here for all I (and you) know.

Is there an official place to offer feedback on the AD Workbook i.e.. errors, layout issues etc? Cheers.

Dear Serif, Please can we have the Affinity Workbook as either an online option that is accessible through the program when working or as a downloadable PDF. The print in the book looks very small, so I would find it very hard to read, assuming that it is A5 size. Will you be doing it in a larger size of large print? Thank you
