This isn’t strictly an Affinity question, but I’ve recently started importing DNG files from my IPhone and developing them in Affinity on my Windows 10 machine. Affinity opens the files fine, but if I use Windows Explorer to look at a directory that contains DNG files, Windows Explorer crashes. Moreover, it tries to restart, but since it tries to open the same directory, it crashes again and again and again. I accidentally found a way to get it to stop (use the command line command “explorer.exe /?” - the /? Has the effect of moving Explorer up one level, and that level doesn’t contain any DNG files, so Explorer stays up). I’ve seen evidence on Google that this problem has been around for several years, but no suggestions of how to fix it. anybody know a fix?

I'm using the drag and drop interface to drop pixel art files (.bmp) from Windows Explorer to work with into a large master file, but when I paste (drop) them the layers depixelate and anti-aliasing appears. I can't tell whether the layers actual contents have been changed or if it is a UI effect but either way, I wish to turn this off. I performed a cursory search of the forums and the Internet but was unable to find anything for Affinity Photo. Here is approximately what's going on: If I copy and paste a range of pixels, the type of layer created is of type "Pixel", but when I drag and drop a file from an explorer window onto a canvas, it creates a layer of type "Image" instead. How do I make new layers made by drag/drop appear as pristine original pixels (like copy-paste) rather than a blurry anti-aliased version of themselves? I don't see a way to change this in the layer settings or in the Preferences window.

When using Windows Explorer in thumbnail view to view a folder of DrawPlus *.dpp files you are presented with a thumbnail of the actual drawing. With Affinity Designer (v1.5 Retail) *.afdesign files you are presented with identical application icons even if "save thumbnails with documents" is enabled in settings. Is it possible to view thumbnails of the documents and,if not, will this be introduced in a future update?
