  1. Hello. I watched affinity designer more than a year. As soon as the beta for windows I downloaded it immediately. Once the program came from the beta - I bought it immediately. Soft good, very good. So good that I almost immediately replaced by CorelDrow and Photoshop. I immediately tried to use Affinity Designer for Web Design. And experimental success! But two things I was very disappointed: 1. I made a design, and then what? Adobe brackets - works well, but the PSD files in affinity is not very good. Because text. The text is translated in a raster. Because of this, it is impossible to take css for text. Avocode - this is again psd. Again the same problem. Zeplin. I was not able to import the template file, because you need to download the plugin for Photoshop. And I do not want to use Photoshop. I now appeal to Affinity Designer developers. Look at this: https://zeplin.uservoice.com/forums/255350-got-any-suggestions/suggestions/8480671-support-for-affinity-designer Members Zeplin want it. Members Affinity disigner want the same. Perhaps you could work together for this !? I finished the layout for the site, but it was hard. Without a suitable tool for the layout of the site, work hard. Please pay attention to it. I'm not alone in his desire to https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/16975-zeplinio-integrationcooperation/ 2. Typografy. Affinity designer allows you to assign styles to text. As <h1>, <h2>, etc. or as a <p> <ul / li>. But the styles of text to work inconvenient. I would like to work with typography as well as going to work with symbols. If there was such a possibility - this would be ideal. Thank you for your work. You've done a terrific product. I hope that in time he will become only better. P. S. Sorry for the broken English. I hope it will also better with time))
  2. Hello to anyone, First of all I’m apologise of my rough English, it looks like I’m a alien ;O) lol Well, now I’m starting with Affinity Tools and try to build a website. I’ve no knowledge about AP & AD it’s my first try with Affinity tool’s. I started with looking on google & in this Forum, later on I Pulled all Tutorials Video in. ….now I’m confused about to Design a Website with AD, there are many question about AD, couse I’ve not seen any Tutorial or a simple explain how to do make a website, may I getting this wrong but where the hell I can make this design in to a HTML5/CSS3 file? In addition, if I did setup a Design (by Graphics) how to make it into a website? If anyone out there and can my Explain the right way to setup a Website with AD. 3. Hi, I'm fairly new to using Affinity Designer after switching over from Adobe Illustrator. I am basically working on a document which has vector/JPEG objects inserted. It is intended for print, but I would also require a digital version for web purposes. When I export the document as a PDF for print at 300dpi, it seems fine; the JPEG images look sharp as well as the vectors (just as everything looks when working on the document at 100% scale). But when I export the same document as a PDF for web at 72dpi, all of my vectors are nice and sharp, the document is the right size, but my JPEG images become extremely pixelated. I've attached a snippet from an exported web PDF. Document information: Type: Print Page Preset: A3 300DPI Any ideas as to why this might be happening?
  4. Hi! I made a simple template for my everyday web-design needs, which i'm glad to share. It contains five pseudo-artboards which are Desktop, Tablet Landscape 1024, Tablet Portrait 768, Mobile Landscape 480, Mobile Portrait 320. They all have semi-transparent grid over them so you can start quick. I think templates like this are good to emulate artboards untill we have real artboards in AD and are just nice way to start your design projects. Will be glad to know what you think of this template, any suggestions are welcome. Feel free to modify it in any way possible. AD-Web-Template1.afdesign
  5. Hi, first of all thank you for this great software, recently I stated using it to draw websites mockups and I love it. The biggest problem in designing websites I perceived is the lack of an appropriate gird system: now i'm using guides, but I have to place all my artboards one below the other due to the artboard context guides bug (If i duplicate the artboard and move it to the right, the guides stand still and go off canvas, not be rebased on the new context). The integrated grid system would be great and really suitable for webdesign needs (thanks to his gutter feature), but the problem is that it always starts from (0,0), but often a website needs the grid in the centered wrapper. It could be possible to implement the feature to offsetting the starting point of the grid? With this feature, for exemple for an artboard of 1366px and a centered wrapper of 960px, i could simply calculate the width of every column and gutter and then set the starting point at (1366px - 960px) / 2 = 203px. In the case you can't or won't implement this solution, there could be another solutions to simplify webdesigners life and make Affinity Designer a perfect tool for drawing websites: - Implement the "Convert Object to Guide" feature, like inkscape - Implement a "guide presets" feature, so everyone could create his presets and apply them any time thay need Thank you very much for your attention :)
  6. I'm a programmer that focusses on front-end web applications, I can use ui plugins in Angular2 (framework), but I would love to create something of my own. I have never designed anything. I'm basically searching for good (paid) tutorials on web design. Thanks

I exported this as an svg (web) after this i uploaded it to https://icomoon.iothat I able to use it as a font on my website but in the preview the icon what not showing up. Now I try to open it in inkscape but there it is blurred (see the attached image). is that a bug? Kind regards, Madlip
  8. Hi guys, Latest project made entirely in affinity. Except the gif animation. https://www.behance.net/gallery/33966100/FoodJunky-Application-Design-Concept Cheers, Vlad
  9. Hello all! I threw together this social media template based on recommended sizes for 2015—largely based on Constant Contact's recommendations. It doesn't include quite everything, but it has slices already set up as well to help expedite most needs. Enjoy! :) social-media-template-2015.afdesign
  10. Hey, As a web designer I'm using the export feature a lot as the persona and simply by pressing Export... from the file menu. After I get a ready jpg I always have to put it in ImageOptim app (https://imageoptim.com/) to get it even more optimized for the web. Any change that you could implement the ImageOptim as a build-in feature in AD or AP?
  11. Hi, I have a question, though: are there any plans to make two new additions to the Affinity Suite? Maybe called Affinity Web (web design without coding app) and Affinity Effects (FX/VFX app)? Now, I know that after the release of Affinity Publisher (which I saw on the Affinity website), Affinity is going to be developed for other OS (such as Windows), linux, and iOS (which means that any other Affinity-based plans won't happen until those are done). But I am curious as to if Affinity Web and Affinity Effects is being considered. Keep up the great work with Affinity!
  12. Here is a web design project i'm currently working on. Completed in Affinity Designer. Allan
  13. This Affinity newbie needs guidance on how to create two layers: first layer will be outline for 12 columns (960 grid) and second layer will be my wireframe. I can't find a tutorial on the topic.
  14. Hey, I'm pretty new to Affinity and so far i love it! The only problem I'm facing is after exporting my design to PNG for Web use, the picture becomes very blurry when uploaded to any website really. How do i fix this? ~Thanks. :)
  15. Very impressed with Photo so far. I use an old version of Photoshop Elements for saving photos for the web. There is one feature on that which I use all the time, and that is the photo preview. I can adjust the compression for jpegs and see how it will look. It would be great to have this feature included in Affinity Photo as well. One smaller feature on PE is when a section of a photo is copied and then a new file created, there is the option for the new file to have the canvas the same size as the file on the clipboard. I know it's easy to crop the canvas to the photo size in AP, it would just be nice to be able to do it in one step rather than two. But love the software, and looking forward to the final version.

  18. Hi, It would be great if you add ability to export shapes as web-font. Right now I'm using icomoon, but it would be great to have such feature baked into Affinity Designer. The app is great. I love it.
  19. Hi, As Affinity is a great tool to create web banners, could it be possible to integrate in the new document web presets, all the ads standard banners format (as defined by IAB Interactive Advertising Bureau)?
