  1. Often when you edit curves through offsetting an baking appearances, the procedural corners are also baked in. This also applies when editing SVGs from external sources. I often work back the corners so I can get a procedural corner going again. For this work, it would be really nice to have an uncorner tool, which extends both vertices to their common intersection point, while remaining on the line they were on (sometimes referred to as edge constraint transform). 2024-03-30 23-37-39.mp4 Could a tool be added which does this tedious work for me?
  2. Using a Wacom tablet, I am missing out on the option to edit both handles of a node simultaneously. When I drag and right click (I have a button assigned to right click in the Wacom driver) it always opens the right click menu for me. While this does not happen when using a mice, the choice of right mouse is rather uncomfortable as you also need to left click and drag for it to activate. Instead, I propose to use Ctrl + Shift as hotkey for Windows (instead of drag + right mouse). This is the hotkey used in most other apps to do this sort of thing.
  3. I often run into the issue where I want to modify the curve object while I am drawing it. While I use the Ctrl key to temporarily activate the Node to move vertices around, I can't add nodes to the curve. That is because the Ctrl shortcut deletes a curve segment. 2022-11-23 16-06-17.mp4 This is strange to me, because if I switch to the node tool, I would expect that clicking would allow me to add vertices, like it would in the node tool. Instead, holding Ctrl to switch to the node tool also sets the node tool to delete segments. At the same time, Ctrl+Shift also deletes segments. Now then, shouldn't Ctrl+Shift be used to delete segments, whereas holding Ctrl should add vertices? That would enable all modification methods, while also making it the tool more consistent with the stand alone node tool.
  4. I'm having a strange export issue. The polygon and its border look perfect in Designer, but when I export to PNG, the corner gets messed up. I've tried changing the corner's angle, but since I can't duplicate the effect in Designer, I never know if I fixed it or not and need to re-export and look at the PNG to see if anything changed. Left: Designer, Right: Exported PNG
  5. Very MUST HAVE feature, when you are selecting points, they appears in own bounding box, and you can manipulate it like an object — scale, rotate warp (add warp). Just like in 3dsmax. Open 3dsmax and just add many coolest features from there, your app will conquer universe. Just from Edit Poly tool. Add extruding edges — killer feature... Just a lot of basic tools and you will be a king... Also: copying along path, matrix, create object arrays etc.; make instances or copies of objects, make it separate type. Make linked or embedded objects. Would be great to have ability to join many edges to one vertex (but the last is like fantastic)))
  6. First of all: Affinity Designer is one of the best mac apps! I love it and I can't wait for Affinity Photo. Finally I can ditch bug-ridden Pixelmator. You might have already seen my review in the app store in which I listed a bunch of things that I think could be improved or added, but here I want to focus on just one. When you use a brush with size variance enabled you can control the width of the stroke while painting, but it seems like you cannot currently make changes "after the fact". What I hope to see is the ability to edit the stroke width at each node or point along the path, perhaps similar to the bezier handles. Side note: I think there should be a "Velocity (Inverse)" setting in the "Controller" drop-down menu for the vector brush tool options but it's missing. Thanks for stopping by!
