  1. Been a while since I just sat down with Affinity and let something happen more-or-less on its own. This is what came out this morning. I like her, she's sassy.

  3. A vector illustration of a ramen bowl, with use of basic shapes, gradient colors and shading effects. This work was made following a tutorial by visual artist Isabel Aracama.
  4. Hello Affinity community, here's my first attempt at a big(for me) vector project. I usually do small logo type of things. I was a bit hesitant to put this here(not confidant in my ability) but I have to give credit to Fred Lespine who inspired me to have a go after seeing his projects. It's not finished and has a lot of errors, light direction realism etc. It is a 100% vector image done in Affinity Designer 1.8. I'm a 52 year old House Builder from NZ. If you're interested the "Kiwi Rider" is an online motorcycle magazine here in NZ . If I can, you can, have a go and post your work.
  5. My all time favorite car drawn in Affinity Designer. It is a work in progress and a lot still has to be done, but this stage already shows where I am heading for. Update sequence and info in my portfolio blog: https://communicats.blogspot.com/2020/04/renault-alpine-a110-vector-drawing.html
  6. I create this works with Affinity Designer. I use it since the first beta for windows. I love it.
  7. Hi. So I've had Affinity Designer for about a year but have never really tried to expand my art in the digital direction. This will be my first attempt at a vector illustration. Suggestions and feedback welcome! Sloth:
  8. Stitch - Experiment 626 / Flat Character Design This is my first project I created with Affinity Designer and the first time I worked with vectors. https://www.instagram.com/p/BiuT84ehHH-/

  10. Hello to You all, This is my last vectorial drawing. Realistic vectorial drawing, done using Affinity Designer. I'm really excited with the results, see below. How to draw realistic objects (this case a headphones) with Affinity Designer. Step by step the full project here on behance Best regards Francky
  11. Hello All, When opening a new file in the Draw Persona (and creating vector art) or opening an existing afdesign file, the artwork remains hidden behind a gray field. (the gray field doesn't show up as a layer.) The vector artwork, if clicked on with selection tool, can be seen with nodes but when you click outside of the art work it disappears again. I've tried adjusting parameters within the preferences and document setup but nothing changes. I also re-installed AD and the same issue happened. I've attached screen shots of the 'node view' and the 'disappearing artwork' field. Thanks for any input!
  12. „Lene“, one of my first vector portraits with Affinity Designer. http://b-bertuleit.de/lene/ More portrait works you can find here: http://b-bertuleit.de/tag/portrait/ I would appreciate your feedback :) - - - SORRY, the links have changed: http://b-bertuleit.de/vektorzeichnungen/
  13. Hello guys! This is Jixie Bubblegum, a quick character I made last night using Designer and my Texturizer Pro brushes. Hope you dig!
  14. Why (did you do that)? (Pure) Vector Art, created with Affinity Designer. http://b-bertuleit.de/why-did-you-do-that/
  15. I created this logo in Affinity Designer for a local client.
  16. Hi everybody, i am a new user of affinity designer and have a question about exporting files: i was asked by a printing company if i can provide them with files in vector art format (they mean illustrator i guess). which export format, if any, is feasible for that?
  17. Ok, yes I am sure this is a massive stretch and a very unrealistic request but hey, if we don't ask, then who knows if it will ever happen right. So, sometimes, when I am putting together a project, I am looking at composition and design. I use software like Google Sketchup to get models to drop into Sketchup and arrange here and there to get my ideas. Then I have to snap an image of the layout and redrop it into illustrator, outline (trace) it and go from there. I can't tell you how often I was thinking it would be cool to just be able to open one program and in one window, create the 3D layout, then copy and paste it into another page where as the 3D layout turns into a nice 2D flat vector image to work with. Again, yes I know this is unrealistic and asking for a lot, but hey, does it hurt to ask. So, 3D Design capabilities like Google Sketchup with full compatibility with your wonderful vector software. That is my request. :D
  18. Hi!, this's a illustration i did in Affinity Designer, i hope post more of my work. Greetings from Mexico.

  21. My girlfriend took a picture of me and I created a vector-based portrait from it. It looks simple but it wasn't for me. I'm still getting used to vectors.
