  1. Good moring. Since version 1.9 I cannot export to .jpg formats anymore. Does anybody have the same experience?
  2. Hi, I have two of my three desktop Affinity apps purchased through the App Store and noticed the new version 1.9 updates had come out. Until now, updating wasn't a problem but this time around I keep getting the alert 'The iTunes Store is unable to process purchases at this time. Please try again later' when I press the 'update' buttons for both apps. I've had the problem since Saturday and still no change. I've tried hard connecting my Mac to my router and loging out of the App Store, all of which made no difference. Any ideas what might be the problem? The App Store status (https://www.apple.com/uk/support/systemstatus/) is showing its fine, when I check on the Apple.com website and I'm able to get into my iTunes account and see all the App Store Features, and payment details, so it has a connection, just can't update the Affinity apps. I'm running MacOS 10.10 which I thought might be the problem but from the App Store info pages, for your app, it says the OS is supported so I'm a bit stumped why I'm having issues. A live chat to Apple Support seems to have not helped either. They've just walked me through generic troubleshooting for checking I have a connection and other unrelated issues that relate to iOS and not MacOS apps. Please can you help as it's so annoying that such a simple issues is stopping me from downloading your fantastic apps. Thanks in advance for your help. Alec
  3. Hi from Austria I have the same problem with the focus merge function since updating to 1.9, like Freixas and Hank Schoch --> forum.affinity - All focus stacks are the same: the bottom fourth of the screen is black. Will our problem be solved soon? When? I bought the app on 08.08.2020 and I use Windows 10 Thanks a lot. Jolanta P.
  4. Someone recently sent me an .Ai file and after downloading it and opening it in Affinity Designer, I was met with a blank page. No layers are listed either. I had the person resend it and they said the file is fine on their end and the new file they sent also showed a blank screen. I'm using the most up to date version of affinity designer. Does anyone know why this is?
  5. I updated Affinity Photo (1.9.0) on my Mac yesterday (High Sierra--which is the last version I could install on my 2009 Mac). Mac said the update was successful. Now I get no popups at all. Can I reinstall an earlier version of Affinity Photo? Any help would be appreciated.
  6. Hi! I'm encountering a crash in Designer during the update process from 1.86 to 1.9 - the programme successfully finds the update on launch, downloads the data but then crashes during extraction. I've had a search of the forum but can't see anything similar; I've updated Photo and Publisher to 1.9 successfully but Designer won't play ball! Please could you advise - is there any further info I can provide to help? I've attached the crash report as text doc - not sure if that's helpful? Many thanks, Andy. 7. 'Export' from Photo - png and gifs are fine, but jpgs only want to 'save as' affinity files. Same problem with Designer.
  8. On a Mac, when I update from 1.8.6 to 1.9 will my additional (i.e., beyond the defaults) Macros, Brushes and Styles automatically transfer over or will I have to reinstall them all?

  17. I guess the subject says it all. Right now if we get an upgrade it's free because it still hasn't reached 2.0. What happens if we purchase the programs in Windows 10 Store and the update from 1.x to 2.x goes live? Just a question. Because I'm thinking of rebuying the software on Windows 10 Store (for automatic updates).
  18. After opening Designer and using it for like 10 seconds or so, it simply closes. No error, nothing. This happens not every time but most of the time. I can't seem to find a solution or what is causing the issue. But this issue started appearing after the latest update. 19. Got this email: "Affinity 1.8.6 for macOS available now!" And when I check MAS, don't see update available. Downloading the current version from MAS gets me a too-quick download (3-4 sec) and accesses 1.7.3 again, as though I originally bought on MAS. But I may have bought direct from you, however can't find a license in 1Password, where I (almost) invariably store SW lic files. Saw this response in FAQ, indicating my 1.7.3 is updatable free to 1.8.x: How should I proceed?
  20. We are pleased to announce updates for the MacOS release of all of the Affinity Suite, to version 1.8.6 These updates make our applications fully compatible with Big Sur and optimised for the Apple M1 chipset (Apple silicon). This new support for Big Sur 11.0 comes in ADDITION to our existing support for macOS 10.9 to 10.14, and so this 1.8.6 release works on all of them, and is suitable for all our macOS customers. New Press Release on what Big Sur and Apple M1 hardware mean for the Affinity Suite Changes in this build Apple just released Big Sur, its latest major macOS update. This update is something our developers have been working on for quite some time and we’re thrilled to share that our latest 1.8.6 update for the macOS versions of our apps is fully compatible with Big Sur, which means even better performance of Affinity apps on Mac. Perhaps even more exciting though is that 1.8.6 is fully optimised for Apple silicon, the new faster hardware architecture, starting with the M1 chip, as announced by Apple at a launch event on 10th November 2020. For more on Apple silicon, see this page on our website. This update is a "universal" install, built for both the existing Intel based architecture and the new Apple M1 based architecture. Whatever hardware you are running on this new release is built for optimal performance. It also comes with a new icon, to reflect Big Sur styling, and some behind the scenes tweaks focussing on performance. UPDATING TO THIS VERSION (Free for existing customers) The software version can be seen on the splash screen and the About dialog (in application menu, for example "Affinity Photo" > "About"). These threads below (to the last update for each application) describe how to install these new 1.8.6 updates and the features and fixes in the earlier updates. 23. I'm hoping someone can help me. Before I updated to AP 1.8.5.703 all my plugins worked just fine. Last week I had used both Filter Forge 9 and the DXO free version of the NIK Collection. After I updated this weekend, they were all grayed out in the menu with a pixel layer selected. Going to the Preferences section showed the plugins still shown as 'working' in green and still has the check box for Allow Unknown selected. Yet Affinity Photo can't access them for whatever reason. I removed all the plugins and redid the links to both Filter Forge and NIK. I managed to get the Filter Forge to start working again. However, no matter what I tried to do, I can't get the NIK Collection to work again. Did anyone else have this issue? Any suggestions on how I can get them working from inside Affinity Photo again? I did check and the programs themselves still worked as standalone programs so there aren't any issues with the NIK Collection themselves and I have not updated NIK. Won't be updating because the latest update of the NIK Collection removed something I used. The only changes have been updating Affinity Photo and the latest Windows 10 Update. I need my NIK Collection back.
