  1. Hi, As mentioned in the title, Affinty suite should include support for "density-independent" pixels (also known as 'DP') that are primarily used during Android/ Material Design development. The specification can be found on this website, but essentialy they are similiar to Apple's 'points' (pt) which is already supported, and very similair in function. 'dp' varies by using 160 pixel/inch base instead of 163: Android presets for phones such as the Google Pixel would be a welcome addition that use this new unit. This would really help me out as currently I struggle with asset creation / UI design for Android and always messing up the sizes when exporting. Since points are already supported, I would image adding this unit shouldn't be too much of a hassle (hopefully 😁)
  2. Please add an option that let us select a text/line unit other than Point in the Preferences>UI. If possible, I would like you to add Q unit.
  3. When drawing elements to be cut on a laser cutter, setting up a document in mm is very helpful. Unfortunately, the common interchange file format for this kind of device is SVG. While the file format supports measurements in defined units, Designer converts to pixels during the export, which means that after import, the dimensions have to be recalculated. Therefore, it would be great to have the option to preserve the units from the document during export, such that a 50x150mm rectangle is exported just as such.
  4. Would be nice if you could add integer only mode to the pixel unit. (not hiding decimal point by rounding. actual data should be integer) This also should be applied to objects that's resized or rotated. This is useful for who work on pixel based artwork. It can prevent unwanted change of size or blurry image without checking each object that's pain. Also an object could snapped to another object that has decimal numbers on position/size, this is annoying.
  5. Would be nice if you could add "Q" unit for typography additions to point/pixel/millimeter/inch. Adobe has this unit in their products. It's the standard unit in Japanese publishing/printing industry. 1Q =0.25mm Q means quarter
  6. I wanted to know how to set the displayed units in a working document? They are by defaut displayed in points, I want to have centimeters or millimeters, how can I do this? I can't manage to find where in the application this settings are located…
  7. I mostly use centimeters, inches, and pixels as the unit of the document, but still measure the fonts in pts. It seems like now you need to use the same unit for fonts and measurements, which I find a little inconvenient. I think it would be a good idea to add a "font unit" parameter, since fonts and lengths aren't usually measured the same way. Thanks!
