Ungrouping anything in any file in affinity designer 1.8.3 for MacOS breaks most element on the screen screen and undoing the ungroup does not fix it, neither does reverting to a earlier snapshot. I am fairly new to the program but I'm pretty sure that this isn't supposed to happen, not sure if it's something I have done or just a bug with my version. AFFINITY_DESIGNER_UNGROUP_BUG.mov

Hi, I am totally new to graphic design, so my apologies if I need dumb-proof step by step. I have downloaded a number of vector patterns which I need to recolour. I have managed to input a set of global colours, which I would like to be my "Brand palette". I need to separate each individual elements in order to recolour them separately, ideally using my brand colour as main colour setting. I can't "ungroup" the pattern and do not seem to be able to recolour as fill. Also, I thought you could recolour the similar shapes at once. Could somebody be kind enough to give me step by step from start to finish? Thanking you in advance...

I used to construct figures in Adobe Illustrator by "placing" an exported eps file from Delta Graph, which has axes, text, and symbols usually. I tried this with Affinity Designer but I could not truly ungroup the eps and get separate text for labels, etc. Have I missed something? I used AI to construct composite figures, resize, and add text or change fonts. Cannot seem to do this with AD. Ideas, anyone? Jeff
