  1. Command Z has unexpected behavior. After typed the sentence and finalized it, Command Z should erase it. But it make the typed sentence temporary conversion state(has the underline) again instead. I saw this report a while ago but can not find it anymore.
  2. Hi, I have been experiencing some issues with Affinity Photo while using it for digital art. I am running Affinity Photo version 1.10.5.1342 on Windows 11 I have a ryzen 7 3700x CPU and an NVIDIA RTX 2080 GPU I am using a drawing tablet (XP-Pen Star 03 V2) and am drawing using it on your software. The crash happens no matter the selected mode (low, high or windows ink). In all cases using the undo shortcut just after drawing with the tablet can make the entire software suddenly close. Attached to this post are three recent crash logs to help troubleshoot the issue 8ca3abf4-24f5-429f-a028-ac8fe9d85d1c.dmp eeeaff53-e2e0-402b-b815-e47005da756b.dmp 3efcbf17-d328-49bb-870c-d7a8a05743c7.dmp
  3. 在我使用撤销的时候,文件会经常性的崩坏 affinity photo crashed when used undo.mov
  4. Please add a feature making undo hide (or go past) all non destructive actions in the History, just by pressing Ctrl+Z. When I press Ctrl+Z I have no interest in going through all of those "Set current selection" and "Clear selection", that are added for every single click I happen to do in the document since the last change I made. That's not a good user experience. There are similar requests (e.g. here), and at least one of them reported as bug but closed by a developer just saying it's by design (obviously not even considering to move it to the requests section or give it some thought). I'd say it maight very well be by design, but it's not good design if it's just taking extra time. I can very well understand that Affinity Publisher needs to store all of those selections to be able to go back in history properly, but end-users should not need to deal with the underlying programming decisions – or see the traces of them.
  5. How can i use the undo brush non destructively ? Is it somehow possible with masks? What i want is a layer/masklayer i can blend in and out only with the changes of the undo brush.
  6. Hi all I am fairly new to affinity designer and this kind of software on general. I drew a shape using the pencil tool and without realizing what expand stroke does I selected it. Is there a way to undo this? I tried selecting all and converting to curves and I tried using the divide option but so far nothing. Thanks!
  7. Changing a gradient type when using the Fill Tool adds huge amounts of the same entry, "Set fill type", to be added to the History panel. This is to the point that it will push everything else away, leaving only these repeated entries in the History panel, essentially denying you any way to undo your work. Steps to reproduce: Create or select an object With the Fill Tool drag across the object to create a simple gradient On the context bar at the bottom, scroll to another fill type, like conical Watch as the History panel get absolutely overwhelmed with the same entry over and over I've actually manage to crash the app doing this, but it doesn't happen always See the attached video for a visual guide on how to trigger this issue. Workaround while this bug isn't fixed: With your object selected, DO NOT trigger the fill type popup by tap the fill type name Instead tap the arrows to the left and right of the fill type name Each tap on these arrows will only had one entry to the History panel If you accidentally trigger the fill type popup, either tap away to close it or directly tap once on another fill type, NEVER SCROLL THROUGH THE LIST Directly tapping another fill type on the popup still adds two duplicate entries to the History panel, but that's still better than flooding it and loosing your undo ability Thanks! 8. Hello, The moment I press "z" on the keyboard to zoom the "undo" function occurs. As I was aligning the 2 squares and I pressed "z" to zoom in, the 2 squares went back to their original state. Please check the video in dashed yellow rectangle when this bug occurs. I don't know why square go back to their original positions the moment I press "z" to zoom in, Please help. Thank you zoom-bug.mp4
  9. A colleague and I were creating some tutorials for our end users when he went to a layer in Photo, right-clicked on it and chose Delete. We then noticed that there was no UNDO under the Edit menu for that operation. The History tooltab was also blank suddenly. He then went to recreate the layer and suddenly the history reappeared and he was able to undo and get the layer back. We tried to recreate the scenario but could not. I'm certain it was a glitch but just wanted to make it aware to all.
  10. If an accent character is typed into a text frame, the undo gets broken at that point. Can't undo past the accent.
  11. Hi, how I can add the undo-Button to the symbol bar in Affinity desinger? Regards
  12. I can't see an undo or redo button on the tool bar, I used them quite frequently in PagePlus and is useful to have, can this option be added? Thanks.
  13. Hi, the gesture „undo“ tap with two fingers works fine on my iPad Pro 9,7“ but the gesture „do again“ tap with three fingers doesn‘t work. On my husband´s iPad Pro 12“ everything is fine. My small iPad has iOS 12.0.1 I tried to remove and reinstall Affinity Designer again but same problem on the smaller iPad Pro again. Thanks for any idea what´s wrong
  14. I know you have the History Tree option but I would love to see a Snapshot button which would be clicked on to store your publication at that point. Each time the button is clicked then a new Snapshot icon would appear in the title bar somewhere and you could simply jump between these or delete them as and when you wish. This would allow pages to be experimented on and simply put back to a set point as required. If this is not possible, how about a Snapshot Button that inserts a Snapshot Icon in the History Tree which did the same thing? I really don't like the short cut options that pop up when you click the Right Mouse Button as they never appear to change. I would love to see the contents change dependent on the screen object selected. So when a picture is clicked on you have options such as align, replace image etc right there, rather than have to keep moving up to the title bar; Or can we have the option to customise this menu drop down please? As you work on a design I can't see an option to review it as it would look when published. Is there one? as it would be nice if it appeared as a pdf document so you could view your progress. When you drag images etc off the page they can't be seen, even when the clipping option is turned off, so you can't store assets off the edge of the page which is very strange and really unhelpful when you are playing around with object positioning on the page. When you select a page would it not be possible to place a thumbnail of each asset on that page in a side bar where they can be selected without clicking on them on the page? I say this because it is so easy to move objects out of position when you are simply want to highlight them. Locking them in position isn't really the answer when you still need to move them around. An assets menu bar would also allow objects to be dragged out onto the page as a copy, or dropped into another box to replace the contents. Highlighting text in a text box is a very hit and miss affair and quite often the text box is dragged out of position. Could an option be added so that you hold the LMB down for a second or so and you automatically go into text edit mode? This is a big program so apologies if somethings there already which I may not have found yet. I really like this software, and because of the price it will be a must buy when its released. Keep up the great work.
  15. I've only just started playing with the beta version, but would suggest an "undo" and "re-do" button by default on the toolbar. Maybe a fully customisable toolbar would be useful. My first impressions are it is a great piece of software. I've used PagePlus for many years now.
  16. Can anyone tell me what keeps happening to my pencil strokes, and what to do about it? I am drawing using the pencil tool. The thick black stroke in the first image is what I have been using, and it is what I want. However, in the middle of drawing something (in this case, I was tracing the shape that is on the bottom left of both images), all of a sudden all of my strokes disappear (compare images below). The pencil lines are still there, but the thick black part is gone and I'm left with just the thin blue selection lines (not the selection box; I mean the lines that make up the curves themselves are now just thin blue lines). And I don't mean just on the particular curve I've been working on, I mean when this happens every stroke in the document (even on other, supposedly locked layers) has gone from thick black lines to almost invisible thin lines. When I check the stroke settings—brush width, size variance, solid line style, etc.—none of them have changed, but my nice thick black lines are still gone. Changing these settings has no effect, and undoing has no effect—I can undo all the way back to the point at which I first drew each line, and they are still thin blue lines the whole time, not thick black ones. This has happened to me in two different documents so far, and because I can't find a way to fix the lines or undo whatever happened, I have had to start over from scratch, which really blows. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it? I've searched the forums and tutorials for help but haven't found any info. If you reply please have mercy and use laymen's terms. :) I am very new to Affinity Designer, and to graphic design programs in general. Thank you very much.
  17. Hello. affinity team. Thank you for making awesome app. I use affinity photo ipad 2days for painting. But, I have some problem with painting. The use of undo and colour picker is too inconvenient and the painting time is too slow. I hope I can use colour pickers and undo easily. I think it would be nice if you can do it with a simple two finger tap or similar action like other apps, and a colour picker would be better to have a button in a good position to use when using a brush. The ability to adjust the position of the interface is also helpful. I'm sorry I can not speak English well. Affinity Photo is a cool app. Thank you.
  18. Hi, I have been editing with the healing brush for a small area. I wasn’t totally happy with result. Tried using cloning tool to refine it. Made things worse. How do I reverse the actions. The ‘undo’ does not respond effectively, in any case it could take a lot of tapping. I opened history hoping to find somethin there. I don’t really want to delete the photo having done some other acceptable work with it, but may have to. Help please, gratefully received. I’m a novice with Affinity, used to working with PSE. Thanks
  19. Hi guys, Is it just me, or is the Undo-Redo a bit glitchy? And I think that the problem is that selecting an object (clicking on it) counts for Undos or Redos. For example. 1. I make 10 changes 2. I undo 10 times, and then accidentally click on the screen (basically deselecting any selected objects) 3. There's no way to redo the 10 steps, not even from the History panel, which gets reset to the point where you clicked on the canvas and deselected everything. This is extremely annoying, should selecting an object really matter for Undos Redos? Even if it would, would that be more important than accidentally losing your work progress based on a minor mistake? Cheers, Chris
  20. When using the undo brush in AP 1.6 by default it paints the original state of the image. I can modify this by clicking on the camera icon in the history panel next to one of the earlier states. After painting with one state selected in history panel, I would like to again paint to the original state, as if no camera icon would be selected. But there doesn't seem to be a way to clear the camera icon from history panel. I can only move it to other states, but then there is no way to undo-brush to the original state.
  21. When working on challenging images, it may be better go back to the initial raw development to fine tune the parameters to get he most out of the image file. The current version requires to user to close the image and reopen it which can be troublesome if file history is not enabled in macOS. Until the time when non-destructive Develop persona (raw development) is available, can we have the ability to undo the initial raw development? The history would just need to have "File open" as the first entry and reopen it upon user selection.
  22. I know this has been brought up before, but I haven't seen a specific topic or response to it. Is there any chance of getting an undo gesture of some kind? Reaching down to the bottom right of the screen every time is pretty inconvenient, and especially when drawing I don't frequently have a keyboard connected to use cmd+z. Thanks!
  23. Hello. I just purchased Affinity for both my Mac and iPad. While trying to learn the program on my Mac, I encountered two problems... 1) I cannot undo certain things. Example: if I click on a Style to see how it looks, there's no way to undo the effect. It's baked into that layer permanently. I encountered this issue during a free trial of Affinity and it was my #1 reason for not buying it originally. Surely I'm overlooking something?? 2) I applied one of the default Styles (Rainbow)...and while trying to figure out how to undo it, I accidentally deleted the Style altogether. How can I get it back? Thank you for your help! -E.T. Craven
  24. First, please add korean support....so many korean using this app... we want... and we need undo gesture. If can this function we can very faster working. or undo button move functions. (not left-handed functions)
  25. Let's say I do this: 1. Place an EPS graphics in Affinity Designer. 2. Use Transparency Tool on the graphic to make part of it transparent (a gradient). How do I UNDO that action later on? Sure, I can eliminate it by pressing CMD-Z numerous times (loosing all my other work in the process). But I don't see how to eliminate that added transparency when I look at the Layers palette. I see the transparency on my layer, but I don't see how to zap that transparency into oblivion. If it was added as a separate layer, it would be easy to delete the transparency, but it isn't. It merely displays in the layers palette. How do I delete a transparency I added to an object via the Transparency Tool? Thank you.
