Using the undo brush non destructively

How can i use the undo brush non destructively ? Is it somehow possible with masks? What i want is a layer/masklayer i can blend in and out only with the changes of the undo brush.

Undo Brush Tool does not work on 1.6.0.89

Hello, I use "affinity photo" version 1.6.0.89 under windows 7 SP1 64 bits. I try to use undo brush tool. I start from pixel layer, I select the tool and I put the parameters opacity 100% and pixels width. When I click on an area no color cloud is displayed. The undo function does not work. I tried the last beta release 1.6.0.90 but I have the same result. Thanks for your help Philippe

I suddenly see a Undo Brush Tool in my toolbar. How do I get my normal brush tool back?
