  14. Not having a digital version of the workbooks is really annoying. I'm from an older demographic (sad fact, but we do exist) so based on other comments I've read about the Workbooks, I would need to purchase a magnifyer to read the small text. For all those lucky young eyes out there, you too will one day reach this point! A hard cover tutorial book, like a hard cover recipe book is impossible to manage hands free on a flat surface without breaking the binding. Maybe Affinity could package a book holder with each workbook? Buying one is just an extra expense. I work 'on the road' and the last thing I want to tote around is a big heavy book, or three. Perhaps I should also mention limited desk space already taken up with two monitors. I suppose the problem is that Affinity knows a digital version will get shared around for free, but so what? Is providing the means for people to learn your products entirely about profit? You already supply free video tuts. Password protecting a digital file will inhibit most of that. Surely Affinity have access to coders or can factor one into the price to write a program which applies a unique password to each digital file sold? Yes, I know you have a repository of tool/function documents. These are great when you know the terminology or the name of the tool required for what you are seeking to achieve. Otherwise you don't find them. So, I'm not going to buy any of the books, and now I'm forced to watch endless video tuts with no transcripts which is equally annoying since I can read faster than someone can talk. When reading a transcript I can save many minutes by skipping over the introductory waffle to get to the meat of the tutorial. The ideal is to have both video AND transcript. Affinity - you have great products, but learning them is far too time-consuming. Please consider digital workbooks and text tutorials. I would happily pay.

  17. Hi guys, if you are using Adobe Photoshop or used it before, you must have seen the FILL option often right. It's located below Opacity in Layer Panel. So some of you might be wondering about the difference between Opacity & Fill Opacity because if you look at it, both Opacity & Fill Opacity do the same thing, controlling the transparency of a layer. But then, why bother to create the same feature, there must be a difference right. So in this video, I will explain the difference between Opacity & Fill Opacity, and where Fill Opacity is located in Affinity Photo. I hope you enjoy this video, thank you!
  18. Hi guys, so I found a photo that was taken 3 years, in 2018. Back then I haven't started to shoot in Raw, that photo was taken in JPEG, and the sky is overexposed. So in today's video, I'm going to fix this overexposed photo. I hope you enjoy this video, Thank you!

  20. Many have access to Video Tutorials for learning the awesome uses in Affinity Photo (methods, techniques, UI, etc)...but also many are iPad users. Mostly easy to follow, as there are a few by iPad Users (on iPads or using), or by Serif (Affinity) themselves... but more often they are made by those using Desktop version. Can be difficult to follow, being different User Interface. Know this is common knowledge by a lot of users...but this might be helpful in following along or rewatching them, aside from taking notes, to more easily locate things. Live visual previews are nice....but until knowing what and where....can make it more difficult to learn. A lot are in Studios toolbar or Tools when using....but Toggle to List in Panels can help for others (then can just enjoy Live Preview on Canvas, as designed).
  21. Hi guys, so Affinity just launched version 1.9 of all Affinity Products and bring a lot of new features on 4th February. And yesterday I just uploaded a new video, so I want to show you one of the new features that I think very useful, that is called "My account" feature in all Affinity apps. So now you can link your Affinity apps with your Affinity account, and then download and install all of your store purchases/content directly to Affinity Photo, Designer, and Publisher without having to import it manually anymore. I hope you enjoy this video, thank you!
  22. Hi guys, I just uploaded a new video. It's about how to create a glowing light effect on your photo. You can use this technique to create a neon cyberpunk look on your photo. I hope you enjoy this video, thank you!
  23. I was following James Ritson's first tutorial Jump into Affinity . I uploaded the RAW image, and the program switched (correctly) to the Develop persona. Once developed, it was fine, and I was able to follow all the instructions. However, before it was developed, while still in Develop persona, it looked like this, with the sun part of the image blown out as can be seen. Can anyone explain why this might happen? Is it to do with my graphics card (Intel HD Graphics 620)?
  24. Hi guys, I just uploaded a new video about how to make your photo looks better by adding a dramatic light to your photo using secret filter in Affinity Photo. I hope you enjoy this video. Thank you!
