what is the assistant manager doing in the background??? Apparently it has some sort of automatic filtering, automatic evaluation and decision in place of the actual user?? I first thought It was just a Live tutorial but apparently it has a life of its own.... :-( brrrrr -
Hello, First of all, thanks for all the great tutorial videos, they are a great help. I have watched and tried to follow the instructions in the Displacement Tutorial. Everything worked as shown until I try to change the blend mode. In the video the blend mode is set from normal to screen and the text changes from black to white. However when I try to do this the text goes from black to clear, in other words, it disappears. I can't see that I missed any settings so whee am I going wrong ? Thanks. Joe -
Hi, I have bought Affinity Photo last night after 2 days of searching on the net. I have been using Lightroom for 1 year, as hobby and semi-pro works. I really enjoy it but i feel that I should move forward and Lightroom is just a quick package edit tool limits you in some ways. I have never used Adobe PS, and I have to learn everything here with Affinity Photo. What would you offer me for the start for fast learning? Should I start to watch all of Affinity Tutorial videos with taking notes and ailing them on my photos? or would it be good to watch Adobe PS tutorials too, as it has more source to watch and read and not that different from Affinity Photo? Hallo, ich habe ein neues Tutorial auf YouTube mit Affinity Photo hochladen. Ich zeige wie man den "Dragan Effekt" erstellt, indem man zahlreiche Anpassungsebenen definiert und die Augen retuschiert. Das Ergebnis ist nicht zu 100 % der "Dragan Effekt", sondern eher der "Dragan Stil". Aber ich zeige wie man ihn machen könnte und variiere selbst etwas. Because it was requested, I set English Subtitles! So you can laugh about the mistakes :D :rolleyes: ... Viel Spaß. Ihr könnt mir wie immer Eure Werke hier oder auf Twitter posten. Howdee, ich habe ein neues YouTube-Tutorial hochgeladen. Ich erstelle ein Fahndungsplakat im Wilden Westen-Stil. Das gleiche Video habe ich auch schon mit Pixelmator gemacht, so dass man sich hier ganz gut ein Bild von den unterschiedlichen Funktionen machen kann. Also besonders interessant für Umsteiger. The tutorials for Affinity Photo are excellent. I would love to see a video tutorial on displacement mapping using AP. From everything I've seen on other techniques and methods, AP consistently seems to do things easier and faster (fewer steps) than the PS methods. I hope the AP staff will make a video.

Hey everyone. I've tried to create a Magazine cover with some of Designer's features to see how they stack up with what I'm used to. I've tried a variety of elements to see what can be done. Hope this could help someone. Various Text Type/Character kerning/Paragraph stuff Gradient Strokes, Fills FX: Glow, Shadow, 3D Pen: Custom Brush style with Pressure profile. Following the instructions of a video tutorial, the QUICK MASK selection failed. I would like to know the conditions under which quick mask will perform as illustrated. Under conditions I understand: image format, any other parameters that are essential for the operation to function. -

Very glad for all the acclaim you guys have received. I worry now that you guys are moving so fast that I won't be able to learn as you put out new betas. Therefore not ever switch completely over to you and away from Adobe because they will always be a security blanket in many ways. So will there ever be a comprehensive guide to ALL tools that you have implemented? Even Adobe has its Classroom in a Book series for all things Adobe (even though I really didn't like them, they were there for reference). It seems that there is going to be a steep learning curve for learning AD and AP so in many ways it may just sit in my apps folder for fear of not really knowing all the tips and tricks to understanding your tools. Thanks -
