  1. AD need a feature that enables a transformation to be applied to each object in a selection, rather than the operation being performed on selection as if it were grouped. I.e. scaling each of the objects in a selection by 150% without changing their location on the page. This is a hugely useful feature in other drawing programs.
  2. A Transform each would be excellent. Similar to AI function, giving options in scale, rotation, skew, etc.
  3. Hello! after Adobe pulled another stunt (with Lightroom this time) I'm preparing for an Adobe Free Future™! I've come back to Designer (ßeta 1.6/12) — and what I saw made me very, very happy. Cannot wait till I see what you guys do with Publisher! As you have guessed I'm still missing some features before I can ditch Illustrator all together: selecting objects by type/look (see screenshots with Graffix Select Menu) lockable guides and the making guides from objects. Also: split in to grid. overprint on a per object (fill/stroke) base (not only in the swatches). ability to choose a font (and other things) from the contextual menu. Despite its name, it's not very contextual right now. plugins/scripting would make Designer much more powerful of course. See for example what you can do with Python in DrawBot of Nodebox offset path (could be scripted?) more transform options like "transform each", which is very, very handy in Illustrator … Anyway, can't stress enough that you guys already did a fantastic job, making such a powerful app from zero. …without the income of subscription-model ;-). Keep up the good work! — Benjamin
  4. I've looked in AD Beta 1.6 and have not yet found that longed for feature, Transform Each. Am I missing something or is it simply not there? I have thousands of objects to resize through scores of layers, and if it is there I'll await until the official release of 1.6. Otherwise its the old, slow, individual object method. Here's hoping....
  5. With the new forum format I cannot find my former questions so I will start this afresh. Since AD as yet does not have the Transform Each, I find myself selecting each one of the myriad of spring (water hole) ellipses, clicking on each of these many ellipses in my various layers when changing the size of the ellipses for use in various maps. Selecting each individual ellipses under a layer is also a pain. Question: Is there any way in AD (yet hidden to me) that I could simply use the cursor key to go down through the many ellipses in each layer as I use Transform to change the size of the ellipses? Apple lets me do this on going through Finder files, but I do not see the possibility for layer object. This would big help in the tedious task of selection, although I (like many) yearn for the day when AD will have Transform Each.
