  1. Let's say I had and image of a sports car and I wanted to get the outline on that sports car in the form of a shape. I know you can bend and warp the shapes but some of the more complex curvature and angles are slightly complicated. Im able to curve the shape but it's never how I want it.
  2. Hei! I have a problem with tracing with pen tool: - some traced letters turned out fine, but N has problems with filling. There is something that I don't understand how to do. - how can I have the inner sides of the letters with no fill? Thank you in advance for answering :) I'm adding the file aslo. DSC_8833.psd
  3. I need to have a tracing feature added in order for me to totally quit Adobe. I often draw my art on paper then scan it in and trace in AI in order to tweak it using vectors. I'd definitely love to see this feature added to Designer.
  4. I'm loving getting started with Affinity Designer. It's an incredible product. A question: How can I convert a bitmap (png) image into a vector graphic. In other words how can I trace a logo displayed as a solid color in a bitmap? I'm sort of doing it using masks but suspect that there is a better way to go. Any help will be gratefully received. Thanks Martin
  5. Please let us know if the affinity software is better to use than photoshop& or coral . We need to trace our creation's outlines & fill in them different fabrics, textures.
  6. The pencil tool works great for pressure sensitive linework, but I'd like it to not become selected upon drawing each stroke. I can't find a setting for this as there is in AI, so hoping that can be added- makes it very difficult to draw as each line becomes selected. Also, would LOVE to have rulers and/or templates/shapes that can be traced upon with pressure sensitivity. Illustrator does not do this today, apart from vertical/horizontal by holding shift, although they finally added it to their app "Adobe Illustrator Draw" - would love this in a desktop app (similar to Manga Studio, where you can use french curves, etc). You already have the shapes, so basically, allowing "snap to shape" to work with pressure sensitive pencil & brush (as the line variation is the important piece) Great first release, thanks!! EDIT: Also please add SHIFT to draw constrained lines vertical and horizontal :)
