Texture Brushes [Hatching] Updated the brush set something I have meaning to do for a while! Changes/improvements as below Version 3.0 1. Removed old versions (original first sets x20 brushes!)..redundant now.. 2. Made some changes to the brush dynamics and nozzles. All nozzles are now vector based replacing previous raster versions (as much as possible) 3. There are significant number of new nozzles for the brushes (Particularly Hatching 01) Which means they are not like original sets.. 4. The previous 6 brush sets have been merged together (making things easier!) and there are now just 2 sets. 5. Made use of the 1.7/1.8.2 brush engine in AD/AP to allow rotation to be defined in the subset...So you can now adjust the created mesh pattern by rotating the nozzle in the sub-brush 6. Updated the Sample sheets to newer (latest) layout..Sub brushes are displayed in red. Version 2.0 (archived) With Zip containing a total of 60 brushes (6x10) and Sample Sheet (PDF) Changes for version 2.0:1. New larger texture nozzles 2. 40 new brushes 3. Modified Brush Dynamics (Flow, accumulation and rotation) 4. Reduced reliance on scattering and scale jitter Sample Sheets Updated Texture Brush Hatching Set Hatching 01.zip Hatching 02.zip

Hey, 1. I want to make a brush of three different images, lets say smileys (one happy, one very happy and one sad). The images do exist. Now when i paint with the brush the appearing smiley should be random how do i do it? 2. Now i want a more complex brush a brush of garden gnomes but this time i want them to differ in thei features randomly. So i have three mouths, 2 beardstyles and 5 hats they should not differ in any other way. Can i get a brush maybe with the subbrush menu that paints a garden gnome with a random combination of these features? All that without me having to create a picture of a gnome for every possible combination first. Do you know whether it is possible in a different program ? Kindest regards and a big thx for your explanations.

Hello everybody! Just wanted to let you know that yesterday Frankentoon released a new brush pack for Affinity Designer called Texturizer Pro. It's a collection of more than 50 texture brushes for being used in Pixel Persona. The brushes can be mixed together to reproduce a (super) wide range of real-life textures, from very subtle noisy ones to more extreme/destroyed surfaces. You can create super complex and organic looking results super fast and very easily. Here's an illustration I made using the pack (even works for text effects as you can see) I've been working on this pack for the last 6 months. I spent like 4 months collecting textures with my camera, then selected the more suitable for the pack, edited in Affinity Photo and after a month of work within Affinity Designer, they're finally here! Has been a blast to say the least. One of the most fun and exciting experiences in my life! So I hope you can have lots of fun messing around with your art too. You can have fun with this pack too for only: $5.99 Get more info, examples and buying options HERE

Hello there! I want to share with all this nice community the latest Frankentoon's Franken-Pack: Pattern Painter. Pattern Painter is a cool collection of raster/pixel brushes that can be used either on Designer or Photo... and even cooler, you can use 'em on Photo for iPad :) I've always liked the idea of painting with patterns, even with software that allows to use pattern fills. I don't know, but I love the experimental and 'crafty' feel that is the joy of brushing in seamless shapes on your canvas. You can combine them, change colors on the fly, layer 'em up for some cool effects... If you want to know more, click HERE to get more info... (I've created a super fancy and colorful info page for you guys :D ) Hope you all like this pack!
