  1. Hi, Why should my imported text have its own text box size, different from the margins set in Affinity? The corners of the text boxes are marked with gray "x"s and the text is not selectable. The text layer is not marked "locked". Thank you, James
  2. Could it be possible to jump around text and to select text according to Mac standards (or to be able to add keyboard shortcuts) : jump to beginning of word : alt ← // extend selection to beginning of word : alt shift ← jump to beginning of line : com ← // extend selection to beginning of word : com shift ← jump to line above : com ↑ // extend selection to line above : com shift ↑ jump to line below : com ↓ // extend selection to line below : com shift ↓ jump to beginning of § : alt ↑ // extend selection to beginning of § : alt shift ↑ jump to beginning of doc : com ↑ // extend selection to beginning of doc : alt com ↑ It would make AP much more practical to use. Thx
  3. When layouting, for example, white text on dark grey background the text cursor (not the mouse i-beam)is nearly invisible at the most left edge of the text frame. In Indesign it was not ideal either, but at least they offset it by 1 pixel in so the frame-edge gets double width. Also: the selection colour is just an simple overlay-color instead of inverting the selection, as was standard for over twenty years of dtp-software... I'm sure today there are more advanced blending modes possible to highlight an area.
  4. Is this a bug or just me being clumsy but I am unable to select text across the pages. It seems that the cursor looses its position on the page. Basically it completely disappears if you move to another page and then come back to it again with the text tool still being the selected tool. Say, you select a paragraph on a given page then go forward to the next page and then come back to it again the selection disappears. There is no way to extend the selection to the next page either.
  5. I sometimes make artistic text with dual lines that the second line may be a different font size, but I find it very difficult to select the second line to highlight and change. It's basically impossible. I can't put the cursor on the second line. Although this can be done with separate text boxes, or frames, I just wanted to make the devs aware that this is pretty hard to do. Thanks
