  1. I'm finding when laying out tabular data that it's a pain to add/edit tab stops only from the small text input field (some of the UX there isn't really good either, as I can't seem to scroll down the window when I have entered more than 5 tab stops). Being able to see the tab stops on a ruler (similar to InDesign) to be able to click and drag them to adjust would make viewing and adjusting the paragraph tab stops a million times better.
  2. I expected some creative options in the tab section of the Paragraph menu. They are there, but I am not able to assign different positions to multiple tabs within the same line. When I change one tab it changes the other one, also, even though I have made separate tabs with the + option. What am I missing? Thanks.
  3. Would it be possible to tweak the handling of windows/tabs within the Affinity interface a little to make things more convenient - - when undocking a document window to have it floating, have Affinity adjust window dimensions to the current canvas size - when resizing a floating window, have the content center accordingly, at least for as long as the displayed canvas is smaller than the window borders I've made some animated Gif's to illustrate what I mean. Also, would it be possible to have the 'hot zone' for docking windows into the main application workspace a little smaller? Right now it's quite broad, making it easy to undock (yay!) and far too easy to accidentially dock (nay!), causing a bit of a struggle at times to carefully position undocked window next to one another. Could we tweak it so that for docking it's smaller than for undocking?
  4. Is there a way to have decimal leader spacing between them-(tracking)? I find that the default decimal spacing is way too tight. Maybe a future version? Or custom glyph?
  5. Hello, I want to make a suggestion: When I load several files into the workspace, I get a number of TABS with the filenames. The active Tab has a grey color, that is difficult to differ from the rest of the Tabs, same with the X-Delete-Icon. Maybe some more contrast would help. Think about the older people, who sit before a retina desiplay. Sincerely Frank
  6. One very small thing that bugs me: This is regarding exporting many images one by one. When you open a large amount of images, the left most tab is open, and the tabs furthest to the right get compacted under a submenu since it cannot fit them all in the tab bar. This is all good. What doesn't make sense is as soon as you export and close the first image, it immediately switches to the RIGHT-most image in the tab bar. Half the time when exporting many images, this cannot even be seen in the tab bar without clicking the arrow in the right of the tab bar. (See attached for visual explanation, just after closing first tab) This right to left approach seems to just get in the way, because it forces the user to click on the "more" arrow, select the right most tab (this brings it to the left of the tab bar for some other reason), export and close it, and then once again the RIGHT-most image is selected, again hidden away in the more menu. What I'd suggest is simply the approach anyone takes to read basic english. When a tab is closed, have the image on the right of that tab be opened next, not the one far away at the end of the list.. Anyway one else think this is a strange nuisance? Or is there some reason for Affinity to behave like this?
  7. I need some help with tabs in AD, how is it that there is no documentation on how to use it? I don’t want to have to figure it out, as I can’t find any info or forum topic on this.
  8. It would be nice to have a TABs (in german Tabulator) tool when working with text. Are there any plans to implement this in future? :) And of course, It will be also usefull for photo too
  9. Probably a "duh" question, but what is the best way to copy a colour between two open AD documents (in tabs)? Each tab is its own microcosm so they don't share colours in use. At present I just copy a coloured object between the tabs and use that, but I'm sure there must be a far more efficient way.. Cheers!
  10. Can we have some "tabs" for setting text?
  11. Sorry to add to your probably huge and very long list of requests this is not a essential, but something that helps speeds up a daily process.... When setting up area as such as bleed and guides etc, after entering the first value in "other" programs hitting tab will fill all remaining boxes with the same value. Presently each box has to be manually entered. Not at all essential just a nice touch to add, when including the bleed options :)
  12. I was so excited when I first opened mission control and saw that you could choose to open a file by either using tabs or mission control! With every other app they forced me to rely on tabs only or mission control only. My feature request is to do just one little adjustment to perfect this feature. Usually when you have several windows open and then switch to the view all windows by all applications mode in mission control an app will have several windows open will tile each window and you can then pick which window you want from there. Would it be possible to add that feature from an app like Affinity that uses tabs? That would be super useful if it worked that way.
