  1. I am glad to see importing excel contents in a table now works, which was a big issue for me. I still need to get used to the way tables work in Publisher, but I will get the hang of it. I do run into some redraw issues when dragging the cells of the table sometimes, making it smaller. So some things appear twice on the screen, when only one is there (I don't know if ghosting is the right term?) These mostly disappear when I scroll or zoom, but are a bit annoying. Hope you can squash this bug? table_issue.mov
  2. I was trying to drop in some data from Excel in Publisher (1.7.0.145 on Mac OSX High Sierra) and no matter how many cells I select it only pastes the data into the first cell. I thought maybe this was maybe how its supposed to work but looking at this post I see that @carl123 is using Windows it works this way but not on Mac for some reason. Raising it here just in case its a bug.

  4. I want the cells in the table to be divided vertically or diagonally without changing their field. Each cell should be divided into 2 or 3 vs vertically or horizontally. This is of great importance for busy table work.
  5. How can i edit a table's text without having it attaching to baseline grid? now when i modify my table size and dimensions, it looks very wacky.
  6. I paste text into a table cell, highlight the table row, right click and choose "Autofit Row to Contents". The bottom of the cell boarder covers the text (see attached). I have tried working with Character and Paragraph settings to fix this, but I have only fixed the top (setting Space Before to 6 pt, and Use Space Before: Always).
  7. Hi there. So, I got an error copying text with bullets from one cell to another cell (cells from different tables) -> happened twiced I've removed the bullets manually and nothing happened. So i think there's something related to the bullets. EDIT: i've tried again with other cell and nothing happened. maybe was something about the text format, not sure.
  8. Spelling Lines on Table do not refresh after changing table format.
  9. I have a table, and I cannot control the height of the last row. It grows each time I edit it. The boundry on the table even exceeds the table fill.
  10. I have an issue when trying to edit the last row of my table. When you try to adjust the height of the row, either up or down in size, the table cell continues to grow. Even after you delete the last row the table grows in size. Table_Bug.afpub
  11. Hey guys, Wondering if anyone else is having this issue. When I go to increase insets for a table frame it does what it's supposed to do.   12. I'm in the process of creating an offer folder - and stuck a bit on the tables. It would be useful for Affinity to have tables (eg Excel). In addition, it would be useful to perform simple operations in tables, such as adding, subtracting, percentages, etc. (as in Excel). Many users would be happy to help them work on projects such as folders, pricelists, etc. When will this feature be available?

  14. I inserted a table on a blank page, and decided I wanted another type of table (not the full page table that is generated), but upon trying to delete it, I could not. Is this a type of bug, I don't know or perhaps I'm missing something here. Paul L.

Table Formats tab: when I try to modify a table format and either click or hit enter/return, it forces me to click or enter/return twice before the dialogue will close out, but then it generates two instances in the Table Formats list. The screen clipping was the result of only three attempts of modifying and saving a table format. As you can see it generated two per attempt.
  16. I created a new document, 3 master pages, and 2 body pages. I set up auto-flow text frames on the body pages and was attempting to insert a table into the body text. I clicked on the Table Text Tool and tried use that to insert the table. Nothing seemed to happen. I next opened the Table Format item in the Studio and double-clicked on the default table there to see if it would insert the table into the position where my cursor was.   17. Hi, I just tried pasting some data from Excel - 3 columns by 8 rows. I expected it to come in as a table. It actually came in as a text box with tabs. PagePlus X8 manages to paste it in as a table. Cheers, Ian
  18. I created a custom system color pallete. In the table color pickers (text, border and fill) when I go to the pallete list the custom one appears repeated multiple times (but multiple by a lot). In the normal color pallete works well, it happens only in the table color pickers. Procedure: Create a new system color pallete - create a table - choose the custom pallete from the table context menu color pickers
  19. After performing as noted in pages one and two of the attached PDF, the fit columns to data option is performed and the fit to the frequency column is botched. Please refer to the attached PDF. Fit to Column ProblemImage.pdf
  20. I like the look of the new software, and it seems pretty intuitive to use. One of the things I and a client upgraded Serif Page Plus for was the tables which could be linked so the data could flow between separate sections and pages as layout adjustments are made (much in the same way that text flows within text frames). I'd love to see this as an option, and I know my client finds this essential in her work.
  21. Hello, I have not found a way to add pictures within cells, and also for them to adjust to the size of the cell. Is this something that exists, or is planned to be added? If not, I would love to see this feature added. Thanks!

    Tables

    I've been using Illustrator since version 1.0 and they still don't have a good way of creating tables. You don't know how useful this is until you've had to create a table in Illustrator by hand. Create a table tool and have your basic cell alignment tools (especially vertical centering). You could also add cell spacing, padding, and cell merging. Also allow users to export it with all the styles to HTML (you could also convert it to <div> tags to future proof yourself). Now that would be useful and Adobe doesn't even have this feature.
