  1. So I'm finally making the switch from a windows laptop to a MacBook, and I wanna make sure that I get something that's both in my price range, and also runs affinity well. But that being said, there's a lot out there. If you use affinity on a MacBook, what have your experiences been? What year/model are your MacBooks? Are there any MacBooks I should stay away from? Affinity is by far the biggest consuming product I will use on the laptop, so that's why I'm here first. I've been told MacBook pros are the way to go, but I don't know much more than that, and my only mac experience has been an iPad pro and my 2016 imac all in one dinosaur, which barely runs affinity at this point.
  2. What are the system requirements to run V2 of all three Affinity apps on an iMac and iPad? I've searched through the Affinity/Serif website and have not found any mention of system requirements. I would like to purchase a Universal License for the upgrade, but I want to be sure the apps will work on my devices before I spend the money. Thanks for the help, Paul
  3. At the moment I'm still waiting for new Mac hardware that is announced for next year. Meanwhile I'd like to use the new Affinity v2 apps on macOS 10.12.x or 10.14.x. Are there others who want to see lower system requirements than macOS 10.15.x for the Affinity v2 apps? Are there chances, we'll see decreased requirements? All feedback is welcome.
  4. Hi I am very keen on getting started with some graphic design based projects. Currently on a chrome book so that won't work. I am wondering if the affinity programs will work on a standard laptop such as the below : http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/dell-inspiron-15-5000-15-6-laptop-white-10157730-pdt.html Thanks
  5. Not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this, but Intel HD 510 integrated graphics won't power AD very well. As your project grows it'll start to lag and stutter when panning and zooming. Not a huge deal, but it'll get old fast. In the attached image, the spikes in "GPU load" are from zooming and panning repeatedly. I doubt many experienced users are running onboard graphics, but maybe this will help other noobs out there.
  6. I recently put forward a bug report about FFT Denoise, but having tried it out on a friend's newer macbook air it seems like it's probably just a bug on Lion or just on my old computer. It doesn't make that much of a difference, really; my Macbook Pro is woefully out-of-date, and I've been intending to get a new one anyway. Since I'm going to be buying a new Macbook Pro in the next few months, I thought I should ask about this. I read a recent thread on this forum where you said that the best computer for Affinity is the 15-inch Macbook Pro, and I was wondering how vital the 15-inch is. I mean, would a 13-inch with all the extra processing power you can get be passible, or does Affinity really need the 15-inch to work well?
