  1. I haven't been working with Affinity Designer for very long, but I'm taking a closer, more intensive look at the functions and am currently examining the color management more closely. The color management in Affinity Designer seems to be missing some important features: 1. If I want to create a new color palette from an Affinity Designer document, in which also global colors were defined and used, these global colors are missing in the created palette. The colors and color values are there, but no longer as global colors. The corresponding colors can also not be easily converted back into global colors. 2. Unused, superfluous color fields can only be deleted individually, apparently there is no multiple selection. From my point of view a big shortcoming. 3. Color swatches cannot be moved between palettes. 4. Unused colors can't be selected automatically in the color management to delete them for example. Maybe someone here can help me or correct me if I missed something Best regards from Marburg, Germany Helge
  2. Hi folks, I found a bug that's consistent and 100% repeatable at my end: any time I attempt to rearrange swatches within a custom swatch set (palette? mix? not sure the term, but a custom swatch collection similar to the default Greys, Gradients, Crayons etc.) the program immediately crashes. This was a glitch in the previous build, and after updating today to 1.9.3 the issue remains. For the record, I am using the Designer.app interface within Publisher.app, but I can confirm the issue arises in the standalone Designer.app too. I'm running Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7. I have to say, I've been enjoying this software trio as a recent convert from Adobe. Thanks for being so consistent with your updates Serif; you've made me a fan –R
  3. I am having a problem with setting a default swatches palette. I don't think it is an AP problem I think it is probably my understanding of how defaults work ....... When AP opens it always opens withe Black and White swatches displayed. I have my own swatches palette that I use that combines Back and White and Colours in a single palette. I have imported this as an application palette. So can I get AP to open with this in place instead of my having to select it from the dropdown every time? I have tried setting this palette as default for RGB8 which what I work in most of the time. This changes nothing - presumably because until an RGB8 document is open it has nothing to which it can default. But if I open a new RGB8 document I still have to manually select the palette. So what does "default" mean here and how should I implement it? Apologies if I am being seriously dumb ............
  4. It would be great in the Swatches Palette to be able to: 1. Select / deselect contiguous swatches using Shift + Click 2. Select / deselect multiple individual swatches using Cmd + Click 3. Add Selected Unused Swatches command to the Swatches palette hamburger menu. This, followed by the Delete Fill command, is all that's missing for easily cleaning up files and getting them ready for pre-press, i.e., deleting unused elements (in this case a Document colors / swatches) for pre-flighting and outputting. 4. Add the ability to group swatches into folders to the Swatches palette hamburger menu. This is really useful for collaborating and sharing files and keeping things organized as well. Tanks for all you do!
  5. In Affinity Designer the swatches palette has a "recent" area that shows recently used colours. The odd thing for me is it will show many different swatches of the same colour. Why is this? This seems confusing and redundant to me. I would think that colours of the same value should only appear once in the "recent" colours. Is this the way it was planned or has something gone awry? I wasn't sure whether to post this in the "Feature Requests" or the "Questions" but because I'm not sure about the reasoning behind the current behaviour I posted it here.
