  1. You can find out the recommended system specifications for our V2 apps on macOS, Windows and iPadOS on our website using the links below: Affinity Designer: https://affinity.serif.com/designer/full-feature-list/ Affinity Photo: https://affinity.serif.com/photo/full-feature-list/ Affinity Publisher: https://affinity.serif.com/publisher/full-feature-list/
  2. Hello, I work on files that are 20 to 35 MB. Lots of pages (300 to 600), lots of master pages (10 to 20) and lots of hyperlinks in pages and masters. I make calendars, so the pages have tables and text, no photos. And every-time I want to edit text, I get the spinning wheel for 30+ seconds... it is driving me crazy. This happens in all my calendar files, not just one. I have Publisher 1.8.4 My specs are: 2018 MacMini macOS 10.15.6 Processor: 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i3 Memory: 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB 128GB SSD storage I'm attaching photos to show the kind of pages I have. For affinity staff: if you give me a link I can share my editable if you think there could be something to see in the file itself. For everyone: Let's assume I get a new computer, what specs exactly should I look for??? Thank youuu! IMG_3563.MOV
  3. I have a Windows 10 laptop with a 7th gen Intel i5 CPU, an NVIDIA GTX 1050 GPU, and 8GB of RAM. I'm limiting my RAM usage in AD at almost all of it (7850 MB), have my dedicated NVIDIA GPU as the renderer, retina rendering set to "low" (don't know if this makes a difference with my regular 1080p screen), but with gradient dithering and precise clipping on. However, when I transform a shape, it's noticeably slower than 60 fps. Maybe at 30 or 25 fps with frequent frame rate drops (the frame rate drops also happen when using the pen tool, but the regular frame rate is noticeably smoother) and it sometimes doesn't update the whole workspace at once, so I see bits of my project lag behind others. I know my computer isn't an absolute beast, but shouldn't these kind of specs still be able to run a program like this faster?
  4. I've been using my surface device to edit photos and I've come to the conclusion that it is nowhere near enough powerful for photo editing. My workflow is mainly using develop persona - changing exposure, white balance, lens correction, tone curves, detail refinement etc. I have a lot of photos still pending, almost 2000 actually I'm thinking of getting a new laptop. But I don't know which would be good enough for affinity photo I was thinking of a laptop with these minimum specs Screen: 17 inch, 1080p RAM: 12GB Processor: i7, 7th generation Hard drive: 1TB 7200rpm OS: Windows 10 The thing I don't know is what graphics card to include so that it can run smoothly without any issues. Should it be NVIDIA 940 or 965 or higher? And what size? 2GB or 4GB? When I'm editing RAW files on my surface, it takes me at least 6 minutes per photo. If I try editing on my 5 year old laptop, it does it in 2 minutes but after 20-25 photos, affinity slows down and crashes So I need something that is significantly better than what my 2 devices above can do Any suggestions? Specifically from anyone who has a workflow similar to mine Thank you
  5. This would be awfully useful for anyone that uses AD for design work. Especially web and UI designers that work together with developers and need to give them the full detail of the design.
  6. Were the minimum system specs changed for the final release of AP? One of the reasons I purchased it was because it's supposed to be fast and able to handle certain processes in real time. That's not been my experience at all. I tried developing a RAW file and for every button I pressed, AP was a good 3-5 seconds behind. It's been like this since the evening I bought it. I given it a few days and I even exited every other program I had running and restarted my comp - same result. I have a mid-2009 Macbook Pro with 8GB Ram and OSX Yosemite. Is there an option I may have missed in preferences or something? As it stands now, the program is completely unusable to me. I'm willing to try different things because I think there's great potential here and I would prefer to keep it, but not if it runs like this. Any help would be immensely appreciated.
