Sometimes when i tried to pan (either by using view tool [H] , space bar, or middle mouse) it doesnt move or work. I had to restart the app to be able to make it work again. Thanks

Kudos on the great app. This is a fairly basic ease of use suggestion... When you are dragging a selection box/circle or dragging out a shape, it'd be splendid if holding down the spacebar would move the selection/object. This makes it easy to get an exact selection... or enables you to size and position in one simple move saving a lot of futzing and keeping you in flow. This interaction can be found while taking a native screenshot on your mac (shift+cmd+4+drag... + hold spacebar) or on all the other drawing apps made by the company named after dirt bricks.... and Affinity is better than dirt bricks' products.

Whenever I use Quick Look to preview a file using spacebar from a save/place/export dialog window, I cant close the preview. It seems that Publisher let's you use spacebar to open the preview, but later it reclaims the spacebar for itself, so i must use the mouse to close the preview. I can see, each time that i push the spacebar to close, that Publisher is using it as drag modifier, despite being in a open dialog. Procedure: File > place… - Select a file and press spacebar to preview - unable to use spacebar again to close preview.

It would be great if Designer allowed to temporarily switch to the Selection tool by pressing the Control key. I find it frustrating to keep pressing the V key to initialize the Selection tool. It would also be great if pressing the Ctrl key + the Spacebar temporarily initialized the Zoom tool. Thanks, Dawid

Hi! This suggestion is mostly for Affinity Designer, but I suppose some of this could be translated to Photo too? When I'm placing an anchor point or object holding down the spacebar will allow me to move the said point or object, this is great. However, while editing these points or objects pressing the spacebar no longer does anything. Here's a simple example, start rotating any existing rectangle, you can't press the spacebar to move it while also rotating. Would be a big time saver to have the spacebar shortcut working during edits too. Thanks!

Hey there, today I worked with the common rectangular selection and was wondering if there’s a way to move the selection while creating it. Situation was I wanted to select a specific area and missed it by one pixel at the top only … I'm used to hold down the spacebar as a modification key and move/adjusting the its position it while creating it as long as the key is pressed. I mostly used it for rectangular, circular and the column selections. Would be a nice addition, so one would save an additional step in creating the selection by drawing another rectangle over the existing one or even create a new one while zoomed in. What do you guys think? :) Cheers Dennis

How about implementing a Illustrator like capability to quickly reposition the anchor point with holding spacebar? It adds so much speed to pen tool and should be an easy implement!

Hi, I've noticed I can't move my selection while keeping the ability to modify it with Spacebar, it is especially useful when selection egg-shaped items. Could you add this feature in an update please?

In Safari there's an always active "double tap to zoom" that's kind of fantastic. No use as is in Affinity Designer because most tools need context of taps to be theirs. BUT when holding down the SpaceBar (activating the hand/pan tool) it would be super handy to have double tap to zoom into the point that's being double tapped on. Perhaps a 5x increase in zoom. And a setting somewhere to set this amount of zoom. So users could set it to 2x, 10x, whatever they want. // Spitballing and Spamming feature requests is more fun than I dare admit.
