I have installed the latest release - 1.8.3 on windows and everything seems OK until I click on the space bar when adding text which completely closes publisher. There is a solution under the "resolved published bugs" folder saying to navigate to %appdata%\Affinity\Publisher\ and rename the 1.0 folder to 1.0 backup, then relaunch the app, but it did not allow me to rename the folder. It says this will be fixed on the next release, but this was published in October 2019, so it doesn't seem to be fixed. Has anyone got a solution to this? I will work on an older software until this is resolved.

(EDIT) (I just heard that this might be a feature that i didn't know. Apparently, if you let go from the space bar while still holding mouse on a shape, the view tool will get locked for some reason. This topic might be in the wrong place now, since I don't know how I can delete this.) Hi! I have an extremely annoying problem with the Designer. My workflow includes a lot of panning around my document using the View tool with my space bar. Designer should reset to the previous tool when I let go the spacebar, right? Well, in my case the View tool gets stuck especially when moving shapes using Move tool and panning my document frequently. This bug came with one of the latest updates, since it wasn't around a while ago. This drives me crazy and my workflow nearly impossible. I have this problem in both of my two Macs: 13-inch late 2013 Macbook Pro, 10.11.6 El Capitan 15-inch mid 2014 Macbook Pro, 10.12.3 Sierra Using the latest Affinity Designer version 1.5.4. Thanks for the support, - Elias Salonen

1. Draw a text frame with the Frame Text tool. 2. Type some text into the frame. Make it short enough not to force the line to wrap. 3. With the cursor to the right of the right-most character, press and hold the space bar to insert multiple spaces. Result: Eventually the cursor advances past the right edge of the text frame and keeps heading to the right—until you type a non-space character. Then the line wraps. Not that anyone would likely do this as part of creating a document...but it does seem anomalous. : ) (Hoping the screen-shot upload works this time.)

One feature I think all programs of this nature need to adapt is the navigation wheel from sketchbook pro. I've yet to find it on any other program and yet for navigation (zoom/pan/rotate) it simply can't be matched for ease of use. Photoshop and affinity already use the space bar to pan the canvas around, but what if affinity added a navigation wheel similar to sketchbook pro? It would make it hugely more useful, especially when using a graphics tablet, as you don't need to keep switching back and forth between rotate-brush-zoom-brush-rotate-erase etc etc. Any thoughts on this? I've attached an image of it in case anyone hasn't already seen it.
