  1. Hello guys. I would like to propose a feature that would make snap settings simpler by using some icons/symbols. The current snapping menu is already good but needs some tweaking and additional options, making the menus more visually simple and clear by using icons and hide the advance options in an advance section. 1."Edge/Line Midpoint Snapping" - This is crucial and I hope this would be considered. 2. Better snapping (object to object/node to node,) 3.Additional Snapping areas. Ex: Intersection, perpendicaular, parallel, Quadrant point of ellipses. B. Precision tools like arc tangent tool, simple ruler, and protractor. Very Crucial for a large number of creators.
  2. Hi! I'm new to Affinity and this forums. Let me start congratulating the Serif them for their great products! Recently I bought the 3 of them very satisfied with them. I have one question though, Is there a way to create an element, say a rectangle, in a "pixel perfect" position? 😁 Every time I create an element, its created on "decimal or sub-pixel" position, let say 242.6 px (X Position) and 206.3 px (Y Position) then I have to manually fix those values deleting the decimal on each value. Personally I need a lot of "pixel perfect alignment". I had the same problem with the actual size of the elements, always creating a sub-pixel size elements, then I started to play around with the "Snapping Manager" checking and unchecking boxes until I found a correct combination of settings that allowed me to create full/whole pixel elements, and that's great! but now I'm stuck with sub-pixel positioning, and I can't find any other option that I can enable/disable in order to get "whole-pixel" positioning. Is there a way to achieve this? that when you create or move a vector element can be created or moved in a whole-pixel position or full-pixel increments? That would be great. Thank you all in advance! πŸ˜…

  4. Q1: I can't Drag to Select multiple ellipses (each is on its own layer). Is this something in my Snapping Settings? Q2: at the Bottom pop up menu when move tool is active are the following choices: Add to selection; select under; select inside; about center; and then 6 more small icons -- what are these for??? here is what my current Snapping settings are: Note that under Document> Snapping: there are these settings: (is this why I can’t drag/select multiple objects?) Enable Snapping is turned OFF Force Pixel Alignment is turned OFF Preset is set to Custom Candidates is set to Candidates List (greyed out as Enable Snapping is OFF) Show Snapping Candidates is OFF Max Candidates is set to 6; Tolerance is set to 8 Force Pixel Alignment is OFF Move by whole pixels is Blue (ON) Only snap to visible layers is ON Snap to grid is OFF Snap to Guides is ON Snap to Spread is ON Include Spread Midpoints is ON Snap to shape keypoints is OFF Snap to layer geometry is OFF Snap to layer bounding boxes turned ON Include box midpoints: ON Snap to gaps and sizes: OFF
