  1. It would be nice to have a shortcut for quickly open the resource manager, without going in the menu. I feel that need because when I have the Resource Manager open all the document suddenly becomes slow, especially moving images and frames (I do not understand if this is a problem of the resources of my computer or an application bug), so I keep it open only when I haeve to chek the images parametres. By the way, great app! Can't wait to use the final stable product!
  2. Some of the most frequently used edit commands are not available from the toolbar. E.g., the Edit > Undo and Edit > Redo functions would be productively convenient.
  3. Hello guys! You know that in PS we are using Ctrl / Alt + Space bur to control Zoom in or out. Do you've any keyboard shortcut there in Affinity to control Zoom tool? Thanks in advance.
  4. Please can you add a Shortcut for Text Horizontal Scale, need this often for manual paragraph fine-tuning.
  5. I changed the following keyboard shortcuts: pan tool (View Tool) from V to Alt+X Move Tool from Z to Alt+Z ...and why don't you name these tools: Pan Tool and Arrow Tool? But in the Toolbar the old labels are shown
  6. Hi, I was Inkscape user. I used to create shortcut for DELETE action to "D" key because while working I wanted my right hand only focus on my mouse and pressing Delete key using my left hand felt so efficient. Mac version has option to map DELETE action but you can't find it in Windows version. I am using Windows 10. Here's all what showed up in my AD's shortcut menu under Draw -> Edit category I hope Serif will make shortcut options in Windows version the same as in Mac version
  7. Hi, I was Inkscape user. I used to create shortcut for DELETE action to "D" key because while working I wanted my right hand only focus on my mouse and pressing Delete key using my left hand felt so efficient. Is it possible to create shortcut for DELETE action in AD? I have searched for DELETE action to be replaced in AD's shortcut menu but I didn't find it. Maybe I missed it or is it impossible? Thanks for your answer
  8. I really miss a shortcut command to place images or other files. Cheers Andreas
  9. Hello Friends, been learning the basics of Adobe Photoshop CS6, recently switched to AP. When I tried to work with the brush, found out that I can't adjust the size and hardness of the point. The same with other tools that work with alt + shortcuts. So I went to the adjustments and to the shortcuts, where I chose "brush", but there were no shortcuts(such as alt+sth.) displayed. Just this bracket ] . I tried to fill it manually, which did'nt work. Finally, I set it back to default. No reaction. Now my question to you, guys: Is it something that has to do with the program itself or with the adjustments of my computer? Maybe a hint: when I use alt in AP it selects always the file button in the menue... Hope you can help me and I am going to laugh about this little issue soon :-)
  10. hi there, I am amazed about the beautiful UI and the ease of use of this new app :) is there a way to set the opacity of the active layer by keyboard shortcuts? e.g. in photoshop you simply use the numberpad for this. thanks, rob
  11. Hello! I'm a pro user of Photoshop since Version 2.0 and I'm very new to affinity. I bought afinity photo to use it for my private artistic work, as Adobe's price policy doesen't fit for private persons and 'poor' artists. I've to say, I love the app for it's price-performance ratio!!!!!!!!!!! Due to the heavy every day usage of the Photoshop in my bread and butter job, the shortcuts are running in my blood. Did somebody take the effort to 'clear' all the affinity shortcuts and apply all the Photoshop shortcuts? If so, would you share it with me? Best, Tom
  12. Would be extremely useful to be able to set just a key shortcut (e.g. F1, F2, B, N, M, etc.) for viewing only a specific layer. Why would users need this? It would be extremely useful when tracing images so we can go back and forth between the source/reference image and what we are illustrating/vectorizing. It can be useful for users that draw after reference photos, so they need to see the reference photo instantly and go back to drawing. Why only one shortcut? / You can't just go and put the reference layer as the top layer and hide (uncheck) and show (check) whenever you want? It would be faster and more handy to have a simple one key shortcut like B or F3 that we can press to view the reference. If we don't press that shortcut anymore, it should go back (hide the reference photo/layer). Here's how it could work: So when the person presses the F3 key, it could show the reference layer. Could be also used for Before/After viewing of a design/illustration/painting/image/etc. What's your opinion on this? It should be implemented?
  13. From yesterday I am noticing a mysterious shortcut on Affinity Photo! If I press G+G it blurs the current layer and opens the Gaussian Blur dialog. I am not able to find where it's coming from as there is no such shortcut assigned to Gaussian Blur filter. And once it's used, pressing G once opens the Gaussian Blur dialog instead of fill! If this is an intended feature, could anyone please demystify it?
  14. Hello everyone! I've got some suggestions for improving the selection tools: 1: Could you add a shortcut to the tools that lets the user add to selection when holding shift? 2: Could you add a shortcut to the tools that lets the user subtract from the selection when holding alt? 3: Currently, when I select Mode -> Add, I can only add to selection if I am starting the loop outside of the current selection. It seems there is no way to start a loop inside the selection, because if I try to do so, I actually move the selection. This behaviour could be accessed with M (Rectangular Marquee Tool), though. Being able to start a loop inside the current selection is just easier sometimes. 4: Could you include the selection menu (from the menu bar) in the selection tools so that it is being displayed at cursor location when right clicking? 5: I guess this is a bug, but I am adding this here as it's about the same tool: Clicking L to select the Free Hand Selection Tool will not show a different cursor initially. The cursor will only be displayed after using the tool. Best wishes, Shu
  15. Hi, I currently work on a few project where I have to rotate the canvas a lot. It works fine with the 15° rotation in APh, using a custom keyboard shortcut. I use a wheel-mouse for my work and I'm someone who try to keep the right hand on the mouse for efficient workflow as long as possible. So my question now, is it possible to add a custom shortcut like Alt + Mouse Wheel for rotation? Or should I move this to the Feature Request section ? Thanks!
  16. Apologies if this has come up before but Affinity's Twitter support suggested I post this here; Essentially I'm proposing a customisable palette/window/whatever that docks left or right that you can populate with whatever shortcut keys you find most productive. Big hit-friendly keys for your non-drawing hand, to quickly switch tools, hold 'shift' etc. I have previously used Wacom devices which obviously have actual keys, and also TabletPro on a Surface which is a Windows standalone sort of version of this (see attached image). I just think it would be very useful for those (like me) looking to increase productivity.
  17. Could we please have a keypress to select the parent of the currently selected object? This would allow for fast navigation within the Layers tree and adds a fine grained version of the Select All command, progressively expanding the current selection from a single object, up through the current group, layer, artboard, and document. Thanks for your consideration.
  18. Hello, could be extremely usefull (and near mandatory to work fluently) to have a shortcut to quickly modify brush flow, or to change pixel brushs maybe. scenario: im drawing, im using a lot the finger tool, and sometimes there is small details i need to work with, that need a lot of flow, and other times i just want to melt a bit the colors, so i need a lot less. and i got to change a lot and a lot for my workflow, so having it at top left corner makes it a hell to use. go in the top left corner, modify, test if its ok, if its nto go back with mouse in top left corner... you get crazy in 5 minutes.
  19. Could we perhaps get a customizable keybind for this feature? Would be lovely as I think it may be used more than the snapping bind, for me at least. Thank you!
  20. Hi guys, Is there a keyboard shortcut for vector masking? For example, for clipping, you can Ctrl+X, Ctrl+Alt+V, and layer clipping is done. Is there such thing for masking? I couldn't find anything in the help file, or the preferences. THank you
  21. There is no direct keyboard shortcut to the in-painting tool; it takes several presses of the J key to get there. Perhaps Serif would make the in-painting tool the default for the J key, if others agree.
  22. Hi, is there a Shortcut like "alt" + "SPACE" for active zoom in/out like in photoshop for Affinity Photo?
  23. Hello, There is one fabulously useful (and little known) keyboard shortcut in Photoshop to adjust brush size and hardness: you press Alt (on PCs), right-click your mouse, and drag the mouse left to right to increase/decrease brush size, and up and down to increase/decrease hardness. I use it all the time. This shortcut does not seem to exist in Photo 1.6, and I cannot seem to find a way to replicate it. Any ideas how to implement it, or should we suggest it for a future version? Thanks very much. EDIT: this shortcut applies regardless of the tool you use, as long as it is brush-based, e.g. it works with the Dodge tool as well as with the Paintbrush.
  24. How do I create a shortcut that goes between Draw persona and Pixel persona? I added a simple 1 key keystroke and I can switch between Pixel persona and Export persona, but I want to be able to switch between Pixel and Draw. Draw is not available as a shortcut option.
  25. Hey there fellow Affinity Photo and Designer folks......
