  1. hey guys, I have a special question. lets say I have to similar pictures (same crop/same background/done with a tripod). Difference of the 2nd picture is an extra subject on it. >> is it possible to extract the subject from the background, so that I just have the subjact standing alone? In the uploaded example pictures I want to have the coffee-cup without the background. thank you alot. greetings patrick
  2. Hi Need some help with this image i have imported to affinity photo. What i want is to seperate all the "objects" in the image and treat them individually. I have marked some of them red just as an example. The reason is because i want to be able to fill the individual "objects" with different colours. So i wonder if there are any smart way to do this. And what tools i should use? Thanks for any help.
  3. Can someone please divide questions and posts for your Photo and Designer iPad apps into seperate forums? Its very frustrating slogging through topic headings that either cover Designer or Photo when I'm searching ONLY for those relevant to the app I need help with. PLUS a lot of the headers don't mention the app being asked about.
  4. Hello! I am new to Affinity Designer, and trying to get into graphic design/logo design. Recently i have tried out some of AD's tools and features, but i'm struggeling with something. I want to split/seperate a text layer into 2 pieces, but i can't seem to manage this. I have read that i have to make the text layer into curves, and use the ''node tool'' to point where to split between, but this does not work for text, only shape. I would appreciate it someone have a solution to this! :)
  5. I have an object with a seperated roof? But I can't seem to seperate the roof from the whole circle. When I change the color of the bottom of the cirlce it also changes the top? As I check on the layers they are one object and I can't figure out to seperate them so I can change the color. Please help! Please see the attachment
  6. Hi humans I've just recently purchased affinity photo. I've never used any sort of photo editing software in my life. I am trying to separate a very detailed and complex drawing from its paper backround so i can edit from there. Its black ink on white paper. I have attached photos of the drawings to better understand. I have watched plenty of videos which explain how to do it in photoshop, but none in Affinity Photo. I started watching the tutorials that are supplied by Affinity, however, I am not aware of which tutorials would specifically benefit me for this project. from what i understand, a lot of the work done should involve masking, white and black adjustments etc.. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. I have little to no idea on how to go about this 001.bmp 002.bmp
  7. Good Evening, First of all thank you for all the support on this forum. I really appreciate everything I have learned. My question is: How do I put and object's paths onto seperate layers? In Illustrator, there is a function called "Release to Layers" where it takes all the paths and puts each individual path on it's own layer. I have attached a picture of what I am talking about. I would like to do this but I am having trouble finding this answer. If anyone could help me, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
