  1. I'm curious if there is a setting to define the "tolerance" or "sensitivity" for the selection brush? Currently the behaviour is quite "unsatisfying" See the example video. The brush is positioned in one of the lightest areas of the picture but it instantly selects the darkest parts even though there is a very clear border between light and dark and the brush is reasonably small. Since I did not find any parameter to configure the behaviour this might be a topic for improvement. Cheers, Timo Selection.mp4
  2. As a digital artist and Mattepainter the painting component in any software is extremely important. Now with many levels of sensitivity available on the computer and iPad its become something we all lean very heavily on. AP’s dynamics for the pen has an issues I think needs immediate attention. When painting in broad or fine strokes AP struggles with the sensitivity when the pen hits the screen. Random stamps of the texture occasionally are splattered on the page even on the lightest touch of the pen. This becomes extremely annoying by having to undo the last stroke. Painting has become a less
  3. Hi Serif team, Thanks for the great new update and some fancy new features and bug fixes! Also thank you for addressing the brush tool dynamics in this update. However it seems to not be working exactly as it should be. Ive attached a vid to show how the dynamics should perform with light to heavy taps of the pen. The first demonstration is in AP, as you can see the tip size doesn't change with the light and heavy taps of the pen, nor does it reach the full wide of the brush size. This might be ok if the pen sensitivity button wasn't turned on. Being able to turn on and off the
  4. I've been using both Affinity Photo and Designer for a few years now, both with an old WACOM bamboo create which has served me pretty well (no outstanding issues whatsoever!), but I just got a brand new 2048 sensitive tablet as a gift (Adesso Cyber Tablet T12), and I've been having a hell of a time trying to figure out what is going wrong with the sensitivity settings in Photo. I've gone through the Tablet driver settings (all the most recent) and the sensitivity is definitely working on the Tablet itself, but despite updating everything to the most recent versions for both my computer an
  5. can anyone tell me how to adjust the pressure sensitivity on affinity photo?
  6. Hello, Feel free to sacrifice me to the vector gods if this thread is posted in the inappropriate forum and if so, it's Russian hackers fault. :P In all seriousness... I have attempted through many methods of trying to gain pressure sensitivity with my pen display the Monoprice MP-22 (latest drivers available). I have cycled through all the options like selecting pressure in the controller options, making sure brushes are set to pressure in their dynamics, etc. I have tried a few suggestions from other threads: (Monoprice support claims their software is supported, by the way)
  7. Hello. I would like to know if there is possibility to set the pressure sensitivity of a Wacom pen. I would like also to have some pencil brushes. Do they exist in Aphinity photo? Or do I need Aphinity Designer for this? I want to do some sketching. Thank you. With Kind Regards. Jozef
  8. I decided to try out Affinity Photo today and found that pressure sensitivity doesn't seem to work at all for me. I'm aware of how to setup brushes to use pressure in the brush settings dynamics section and also tried using the "Force pressure to control size" button, but nothing seems to work. I use a Monoprice rebranded UC-Logic tablet (the PF1209). While one may be quick to say, "I've never heard of UC-Logic/Monoprice tablets; you can't expect that to work since it isn't Wacom," the thing is that this tablet works with anything that supports Wacom tablets. Both Wacom and UC-Logic tablets, a
  9. Hi, I'm calling this a bug, because similar apps don't display the same problem (Illustrator, InDesign, Skecth, etc). When scaling text using a two finger gesture on the trackpad, Affinity doesn't seem to know when I've left go/stopped. It always seems to nudge the text another point up or down. In other applications, when I stop moving and let go of the trackpad, it stops modifying the number. I'd get over it if there were sliders or I could use the keyboard arrows, but as it stands I'm hitting CMD+Shift+Option+> just to increase a point size. Thanks for reading.
