I took a quick shot with my google nexus 5x phone from a moving Ferry. The window wasn't clean and I was too late in the morning to catch that Golden Hour light but it was just for fun on a boring 40 min ride. I processed the raw .dng file in Affinity photo did a little cropping and straightening and then had some fun experimenting with adding clarity, adjusting highlights and shadows and adding a gradient overlay to simulate a warmer light.

I had the privilege of being given a ride on the Yarmouth Lifeboat last week, and took my camera -- naturally! These photos are small ones I posted on Facebook; if/when I come to print them, I'll re-edit them at full size (and maybe develop them a little differently). The Needles chalk stacks, and the lighthouse: Scratchell's Bay and the cliffs Cormorants. They very considerately arranged themselves according to the Rule of Odds: a group of three and a group of one. (I wonder what he did to upset the others?)

Living on the Isle of Wight, it's very nice to drop into a Stately Home or other historical site on the way home from the shops. Osborne was Queen Victoria's holiday home, with its own beach. I didn't bother taking my camera because I have so many photos from previous visits; I did have my phone though, and took one or two snaps (well, 149 all together!) I had AP's HDR and panorama in mind ... I've mostly used the presets on the HDRs, but this first one is a little over-sharpened, and there's a lot of grain in the sky; I'll smooth that out in future editing. The panorama gives a view of the city of Portsmouth across The Solent. the "sunset" (we're looking north-east) is probably pollution haze that's been exaggerated by cranking up the saturation!

Hey Gang.. :) Having a blast learning A.Designer. This is my first take on a vector drawing. I'll show more as soon as i get the time to work on this :) Oh, did i mention this is ALL freakin' VECTOR? yeah.. the light rays too... that seamlessly blend with the background :O the biggest wow for me was.. a layer above every other layer, which has a gradient, noise, and overlay blend mode.. it ties everything together sooo goood... i think im falling in love with you Affinity -.- but i have a girlfriend, darn...
