  1. Since v.1.10, after I've worked on a few files, when I use the crop tool to manually rotate and straighten a photo, there is a lag and a jerky motion which makes it difficult to be precise. After restarting program it works properly for awhile. Performance setting attached Any thoughts are much appreciated. 2017 27" iMac 3.4GHz, 24 GB DDR4 RAM running Big Sur 11.5.1
  2. Hello everyone. I work a lot with pixel art and I have to frequently copy, move, resize and rotate a bunch of pixels. Nearly every time, when I do that, graphics get really blurry, and I have to manually "fix" them and sharpen to get the outcome I expect. Is there any better way to do it? I figured that I can copy graphic (from one file to another) using Edit ˃ paste special ˃ PNG to ensure copying without any adverse effects, but I can't figure out how to do other actions to "override" that effect. Can I turn off blurring effect somewhere? Few examples in attachments. Have a good one, Dawid Holas
  3. I've recently bought Affinity Designer, so I'm not really familiar with all of its tools and features yet. I'm trying to make a logo for myself, but I ran into a problem. What I'm trying to achieve is to get the circled corner of my selection to snap the the bottom right corner of the black outlined rectangle while the width of my selection stays 110 points and the corners are all 90 degrees. Basically, what I want is to lock the width of my selection at 110 points and grab the circled corner, rotate the selection from its origin point and have its height automatically adjusted when I make it snap to the the corner of the other rectangle. (I see I didn't had the "Enable Transform Origin" visible when I made the screenshot. It's where the corners of both the selection and the other rectangle meet in the upper left corner.) I hope the issue I'm having here is clear.
  4. Hi @all I think i found a bug in publisher while transforming and duplicating a layer and it looks like the transformation was miscalculated. There are 2 Videos. The first shows how Designer works (that shows what it should be like) and for comparsion the second Video shows the same steps in Publisher with the wrong calculation. it seems that the rotating at the end of the video, where the layers with the transformation are duplicated, will be wrong calculated. The Steps in Designer: Designer.mp4 Same Steps in Publisher. Look at the difference in transforming please. Publisher.mp4 And in the Publisher Video you also can see two issues i reported to you. - Snapping of the rotaion centre to Guidelines doesn´t work (same snapping settings as in designer) - Roation Centre and ohter guides will be hidden if moving guidelines. This is very impractical. Many greetings Uwe
  5. Hi, first of all I am impressed by the great Software at that Price - thanks! I tried to rotate some path points and hoped that the brilliant concept of Adobe Illustrator was implemented in your Software where you can rotate and mirror just by using modifying keys like strg, alt and shift. Also it was very easy to Position the Center of Rotation/mirroring using the alt-key. Ok your Approach is different, but it would be great if you could have a look at it. However your Approach seems to be Buggy: I can rotate the path Point by using the slider in the tranformation Panel nor entering the Rotation angle, because it always falls back to 0° whenever I carry on with other objects. Also I cannot define the Center of rotation. I Appreciate any Feedback on this. Best regards, P.S. I am using Affinity Designer 1.6.4.104
  6. In this video, I show you how to create a simple dot pattern using ellipses. Using the alignment tools and snapping feature, it’s very easy to set up a pattern. Once your pattern is ready, it’s a simple matter of using the copy and paste functions to create multiples and keep them aligned perfectly. You’ll learn how to move, align, flip, and rotate objects using keyboard shortcuts and menu options. If all this is too much right now, jump over to my website: www.jencodesigns.com and you can purchase the original Affinity Designer file from my Comic Text video that includes the dot pattern asset I used, the color palette, and all of the illustration layers, objects etc. Don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE to my channel - It really does make a difference. Thanks for watching and Happy Creating. Jen
