  1. There was meant to be a new feature in 1.9 where you can hold CMD to rotate the canvas with the scroll wheel - I noticed it as an option in the "Tools" preferences too. For some reason this feature doesn't work for me at all. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug? I'm using a Logitech MX Master 3 mouse on an iMac.
  2. Hello. One feature I wish existed in Affinity Photo is a rotate canvas function. I mean where one can spin the image freely like a sheet of paper while working, to get a more comfortable angle for drawing different areas of the image. Does this function exist and maybe I’m just missing it? If not, maybe I could suggest it in the requests area. Please let me know, and thanks!
  3. Hi Affinity, Affinity Photo has so much going for it. One feature I'd really like to see added though is a freely spin-able working area, or "rotate artboard" functionality. This would be where the user can click a keyboard shortcut to the spin feature, then freely and organically spin the working canvas to any angle desired just by dragging the cursor. Photoshop has this and it's a huge benefit, especially for those trying to draw with a stylus pen. It's like being able to rotate a sheet of paper to any angle while drawing on it. I know that others have made comments on this too. I hope
  4. The "brush readout with canvas rotate problem" can be found in the Photo and Designer betas also (build: 1.7.0293). I'm very sorry for the duplicating of the thread, but I didn't get an answer/solution to the previous one for a long time. The previous thread about the problem with full description and video:
  5. When the canvas rotated, the Decrease/increase brush width/hardness with on-screen readout orientation follows the rotation angle. It is the problem with Designer's vector and pixel brushes also. It would be great if the on-screen directions would always be the same (width: left/right and hardness: up/down). Affinity Photo build 1.6.1.93 (1.6.3.102), Affinity Designer build 1.6.1.93 (1.6.3.102) Steps of reproduction (Affinity Photo): 1. select any paintbrush 2. rotate canvas with 90° 3. try Decrease/increase brush width with on-screen readout with Right mouse b
  6. 7. Hi all. After using affinity on the IPad I decided to buy it also on the tablet (SURFACE PRO 4) Now I cannot find how to rotate the canvas with my hand. Is this possible? Please advise. Henkbrwr
  8. I would like to use Affinity Designer and Photo as my main tools for illustration I the future. I have already unsubscribed from Adobe CC and left the excellent Photoshop and Illustrator. Still there are some things that I like to see in Affinity Photo and Designer (Pixel Persona) to make them suite all my needs. I list them here: Protect Alpha on each separate layer. Just like masking separate layers. Protect alpha is quicker, but both methods are good in their own way. The “global” protect alpha is a bit odd. Never seen that before. Separate layers protect alpha, please! Free Rotate Ca
  9. Please consider adding the following behavior: When the user holds down Shift + rotates the canvas, constrain the rotation of the canvas to 15° increments. Thank you of your consideration and lal you do.
