Hello everybody! Recently I found an old album of my great-grandmother from the beginning of the last century, but the photos there faded and cracked. I want to scan them and fix them. Please tell me the software for these purposes.

I'm using publisher 1.7.3 on windows. I was having issues with a white background showing on my page numbers so on some pages I removed the original master test by deleting the text from the master page layer in the master page folder, then realized I can change the master page to delete the white background in the text by doing a factory reset. I couldn't figure out how else to remove the background color on my text. Is there a way to refresh the page so that the master page will reload and fix the pages I tried to adjust or are master pages handled more like instances and each one comes from a parent but can be changed individually? It would be nice if I could reset the pages that use master pages to the original master page from which they came as they are cleared still linked but I don't see where the option to restore them is. I included what my original master page looked like and an example of a page using a master page where I deleted the master page content. If I could click a button to restore to the original master page that would be very helpful.

Hi there, Others have used Photoshop to restore faded text from old document scans, but hey---I've left PS for Affinity, so that doesn't help. :) Anyone know how to do this, or know where I can find step-by-step instructions? The documents I'm working with are carbon copies of typed pages, circa 1947, scanned in at 400dpi jpg (can rescan in another format, if needed). Hope someone out there can help; I'm resurrecting a couple hundred pages of my great-grandfather's daily typed journals (most of which are legible enough on their own, but a few that need some Affinity Photo magic and love). Thanks! Attached sample page:

Unfortunately, there is no "function" to save the studio. (If so, please prove me wrong). That does not mean you can't save it manually, and even keep multiple versions of it to suit your different workspaces. As a bonus or drawback, some of your preferences will also be saved or recalled by the same process. To save your Studio configuration (MAC) The following allows you to keep a safe copy of your studio configuration, including the Toolbar and other preferences (I did not know which ones at this point) Quit Affinity Designer From the finder top drop-down menu, select GO and press [option] — [shift] or [^control] on some systems. A new item called Library should appear in the menu. Click it. Navigate to this location : Macintosh HD/Users/YourUserNameHere/Library/Containers/com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner/Data/Library/Preferences Copy the file com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner to a safe location of your choice. I recommend a cloud base storage, so you can get it back on a new or different system at anytimel. Go back to work with peace of mind, your Studio configuration is now safe. To recall the Studio If the studio go astray, or the toolbar plays hide and seek on you: Quit Affinity Designer Copy back com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner to its original location (From where you saved it above) — Replace the existing files Note that the studio will come back the exact same way you had it at the time you copied the file for the first time. Changes you made between the two procedures will be lost. Forever. I have not tested it yet, but I'm sure that some other preference settings will be affected as well, I just don't know to what extent. Multiple Studios: You can make multiple Studio arrangements and save them independently. Just copy com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner to different locations. Be sure to label them properly, so you remember what they are. Very useful on a laptop that uses an external monitor that is not always connected. If you're comfortable with MacOS Automator, you can even create series of app/scripts to save or restore your Studio configuration(s) automatically. Not the smoothest process and I wish there was a prebuilt function for that… But until it does, or someone proves me wrong, it's a workaround. Enjoy!

How do I restore all defaults in MacOS High Sierra? I'm having all sorts of trouble with Affinity Photo. I stopped using it for a while. Yesterday, I tried doing the very simple thing of inverting a mask from white to black, cmd+I wouldn't work. I also noticed issues with painting a mask so today I tried following a quick mask tutorial (just in case I was doing something wrong). Can't paint a mask with the brush on a duplicate pixel layer, created with cmd+J, or on the unlocked background layer. Anyway, I deleted the app and downloaded it again hoping it'd restore all defaults as in first installation. Nope, everything is still the same and stuck on the painting issue above (the invert mask was working again with cmd+i before the re-install). With Photoshop, opening while holding down Cmd+Option+Shift would restore all defaults. Tried this just in case, but doesn't work with Affinity Photo. How do I do this please? Thanks.

I have been using the trial. I was under the impression that once the trial expired that i would get a code when I purchased that would unlock the program. I did not think it would be a completely different program. I have numerous designs that would have been restored when the trial opened back up. Instead the trial is now over, and though I spent my hard earned cash on the program, I cannot recover those files that i put tons of time into which is far more important than money. These are logos and designs that I made for the business I work for as the project manager so I was paid for this time and my managers, the owners of the company, are not going to be happy to say the least. I need these files recovered. There was no warning that this would happen. It didn't even warn me the trial was almost over or anything. You guys gotta do better than that. I don't want to hear "Were sorry but there is no way to recover these files" because I know that they are somewhere on my hard drive. Whether you need to extend the trial so I can open it one more time or whatever. It needs to happen. Please and thank you.

Dear Affinity Team I have tried to re-download your products which I bought last year. I still have the PayPal receipts, the saved password and login details to your site. But somehow neither my email nor my password are recognized on any of your associated sites (seriflabs, affinity). I tried to reset my password but it would not recognize my email. I am certrain I got the correct login-details because these are auto-saved in my browser, I also remember successfull login in with those details last year. I purchased both, Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer for Windows. Could I get some assistance regarding this? Is there an issue with your account management from 2016? My name is Jessica Helsdon. I re-registered now in hopes of it being a bug but still I do not see my purchases. I canprovide the Paypal receipts. Thanks in advance.

Suddenly, all my custom export presets that I had defined have disappeared! (I remember recently changed the UI language from German to English and v.v., and I had one system crash - both should not cause this, but I could have??) I am sure they should be included in my backup - which file do I need to restore from Time Machine to get them back? Taking a quick look, I did not find aything suitable named SerifLabs or Affinity in my Library folder...

I am trying to edit an image I worked on. I used some text and would like to try another font however, every time open the original without the text in Affinity it displays the a version with the text I don't want and will not allow me to change the font. How do I go about getting the original image uploaded without interference? Or how do I change the existing font if I can't upload the original image? I've attached the images, one with the text added "The Leader In Handmade Cables" and the original image without.
