I am really impressed with Photo on iPad Pro, BUT, my workflow is strongly based on placing and replacing images. I can't find the context bar button – a to-come feature? Or am I missing it? Can't find any other users with this problem, so I suspect it's some place that I haven't located it.... Otherwise, it's going to get me buying an iPad Pro....

Hi, so I have a PNG file. It is fairly basic, and has a large part of its background and some other text etc. as a single solid colour (A) that I would like to change to a different colour (B). So basically, how do I change everything that is Colour A to Colour B, preferably the easiest and quickest option if there is one! Thanks so much in advance!

I use a tool to have a visual feedback of our footage and have optimised it to be able to right click open it in affinity. also i use it to drag and drop footage to the canvas or to oopen it as a seperated object.. We could need the option to drag it over an existing layer to replace it ! would be handy.. maybe togethe with a shortcut to replace it and in the same time use the new one as a linked Object (when this feature will arrive for affinity ) When dragging en external file to the canvas i would like a shortcut option to first popup an option window , where to drop it .. left , right, in the middle, wich scale or so... heres a short screenshot what i mean...

I'm loving using Affinity Photo on my iPad, it seems to be a great replacement for Photoshop, and I'm using beta versions with TestFlight. However, there is one feature that I really miss and forces me back to Ps eventually: Smart Objects. Every time I import a PSD file into the iPad Affinity Photo that has Smart Objects, the app recognizes it as a simple layer of pixels. I work daily with mockups, and it would be very useful to be able to replace the layers easily. I hope that comes to the app soon, thank you, keep up with the good job!

Within Affinity Designer 1.5.4, I opened an Illustrator CC (.ai) file that was saved with PDF content. Within the "PDF Options" dialog, at the bottom it said I had a missing font (a Japanese font). I clicked on the Replacement Family popup but could not find the font so I just clicked the Open button. The document opened with all text that used that "missing" font converted to a generic font. I then choose the Text tool and selected some of that text, and I then clicked on the Font popup in the upper left. Low and behold, there was my "missing" font within that popup. Selecting the font made the selected text look normal again, albeit with messed up kerning. So wouldn't you say this be a bug? For truly, if the font is really there (and since I proved that after opening the file), the very fact Affinity Designer said the font was missing seems like a bug to me. I now have a related question. In Illustrator whenever this sort of thing happens, after I open a document I can then easily click on the Type menu and choose "Find font..." That opens the Font Font dialog which gives me an at-a-glance overview of all the fonts in the document, showing me which is missing (if any). I can then quickly and easily choose a font to substitute from the bottom half of that dialog, and with a mere click of the "Change All" button, I can substitute my replacement font throughout the document. How does one accomplish that using Affinity Designer? Surely there must be an easy way to tell Affinity Design how to substitute fonts throughout a document? Thank you.

Hi, when i try to open a PDF in AD 1.5.0.10, Star Time JL, a font pretty hard to read, is in every row for replace Fontfamily in the open dialog box. That doesn't make much sense? What can i do to change this, I didn't find an option in preferences. Also, its not possible to work with AD here on my maschine, when imorting a 200 and more pages PDF file, the program is hanging. All the pages are displayed on the artboard in miniature, after 1 - 2 minutes or so. Scrolling in the layer tab is nearly impossible, AD is hanging again, it feels, the program is overstrained concerning large PDF files. Win 10, 8GB Ram, i5-3570K (3.4Ghz)

Hey guys, I just recently found out about the live perspective filter – how could I miss this important filter?! :o This filter is awesome! It’s similar to my beloved Smart Objects from Photoshop, if not better considering in combination with other live filters like DOF! So I thought why not share my first »just-replace-and-you’re-ready-to-go« file. :D In case you want to try – here’s the download. Hi, I'm just trying out Affinity because it looks very nice, but I do have some questions. I'm used to Photoshop so please excuse me trying to get same out of the programs :P ,, Love that you can combine RAW processing and power of retouching tools. * I have some problems getting good quality out of your RAW processor with my 5D Mark III, Nikon D750 and Fuji's. Anyone got "secret Affinity ninja tips" to pull most out of the details and noisereduction and the tools in general? The tools I find on RAW converter feels like a hammer to a glass sometimes. I only have a couple day more on trial and want to see how it performs. * When filling a layer with 50% gray and put it to overlay or soft light, it should not affect brightness/darken the photo, at least from my photoshop experiences. In Affinity the image become darker for every 50% layer in overlay/soft light mode, is there a way around this? * Lets say I want to replace "Blue" channel with "Green" and set top layer to luminosity, how do I do this in Affinity? I found no way to replace one channel with another one, I might be blind tho. I try "Load to Pixel Blue" but I see no changes on composite layer. * I really want curve to affect a selected composite channel in "Channels", lets say I want to adjust the blue channel, how do I do this without making a adjustment layer? In PS you could CMD+M (CTRL+M) on the layer or channel to bring up a curve that will affect only "Blue channel" without making a new layer. Thanks for reading my stupid questions =) Aleksander

What's the quickest way to replace a colour in multiple objects? e.g. I want to change all instances of colour A to colour B. For instance, in Freehand you could do a Find and Replace, or drag a colour onto the swatch colour. The 'Edit Fill...' option doesn't seem to change the linked colours. Thanks.

Are alias objects planned? All users would like that feature if a search and replace objects tool will not be integrated sooner.

I am brand spanking new to vectors and I purchased a pre-designed vector logo hoping I could figure out how to change the text that says "YourCompany" but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to accomplish this simple text. Good Morning, I'm just finishing my first piece of artwork produced with Affinity, and really enjoyed the process so far. However I would like to experiment with some different colours schemes, Is there a way to select and edit colours rather than replacing individually? or can I set up colour pallets with global settings?
